This product should be standard issue for the Quest 2. I wear glasses with my VR and, unbeknownst to me and while I also was using the glasses spacer, I was scratching my headset lenses. The scratches were significant and only after a few weeks.These spacers were incredibly easy to install, and pop onto the lens via slots which look like they’re there specifically for this product. It works perfectly.If you wear glasses, don’t use your VR headset without this product or something like it. You’ll ruin your lenses.

I had to get these because I need to wear my glasses with my Quest 2 in order to read anything and the glasses spacer that comes with the headset just isn’t good enough at ensuring that the glasses lenses don’t contact the VR lenses. I got these and there is literally no possibility of them scratching each other anymore- and I have big glasses with lenses that bulge forward pretty far. I’ve gone so far as to jam my glasses inside and the bumpers just will not let them contact the headset lenses whatsoever. It feels so good to be able to use my glasses and not worry at all about the lenses scratching each other by accident when I adjust the headset or turn quickly anymore. If you wear glasses, I’d even go as far as to say you should order these during the same day that you order your headset, they’re practically essential for glasses wearers, come with tons of different sizes to fit how you want them to, are super easy to install, and are very cheap!

These little rubber liners have been very useful in providing me some peace of mind when using my Quest 2. They sufficiently keep my glasses from touching the lenses until I can afford prescription lenses. I took one star off for the confusing install instructions. They just show a picture of placing the covers onto the lenses, but I did take me a moment to figure out the correct orientation for them to snap into place properly. (For those who want to know, the little flat spot on the edges of the covers should line up to face the outside edge of the headset, not the inside towards the other lens) Overall a very useful product. I would recommend these to any Quest 2 user who wants a little more protection for their precious lenses.

These are pretty much godsends if your eyes are horrible.I thought that I could do VR without my glasses; that the closeness of the lenses inside the Oculus Rift S would fool my eyes into thinking that they’re not horrible. Nope; seems like my brain still interprets virtual distance as real distance, and applies my real eyes’ (somehow completely skewed) focal depth to the virtual sights I see through the lenses.The visual input must still be adjusted for my brain to make any sense of what I’m seeing, and it’s just a fact that the default spacers within the Rift S are too thin to accommodate my glasses. (And I would assume most people’s, also.)Thank GOD for AMVR and their manufacture of vital VR accessories, like these new spacers. They’re simple; they and their adapters (so they can fit on the lenses) look 3D-printed. They’re the same shape as the default spacers, so (when reinforced by the adapters that come with them) they can fit over the lenses just like the default ones.I wasn’t prepared to experiment with the right thickness of spacer to use, and risk scratching my precious VR lenses – though I did experiment once with my glasses with the default spacers, I didn’t accrue any scratches and I consider myself lucky. So, I went straight for the thickest ones, and they work! Now I never have to worry about scratches on the VR lenses, from my glasses at least.One might think that $20 is too dear a price for simple 3D-printed pieces of plastic that weigh less than an ounce. BUT the peace of mind of knowing that we don’t have to put out a potentially much higher amount for replacement lenses, which are doubtless trickier to install than these, is worth the perceived extra cost for me.THANK YOU AMVR![As per the picture – since the lenses are still going to be so close to your face when you use these, you will still only see black, not the additional colors, so you won’t be distracted. I just chose to use the colors because why not? A little extra bit of style to look at when I’m not using VR.]

Just wanted to give this product a 5 star review because they just work! Quest 2 fits perfectly now with my glasses on. I was going to buy prescription lenses for it but before I did i came across this product and I could not believe it but they are perfect. Worth it!If you are in the fence about having to buy prescription lenses because your glasses don’t really fit correctly or hit the screens, you should give these a try. For the price there is nothing to lose.

If you’re looking for the best protection for your glasses and Quest 2 lenses, these are not it. They do offer great protection if you use the 7mm thickness, but you will find that that may be too thick to comfortably use without pressing your glasses into your face. When using the 5mm thickness, they will offer good protection when your glasses are centered, but if they rotate to the left or right your lenses will touch, and possibly scratch. When using the 4mm thickness, your lenses might be more likely to scratch because of the false sense of security they give.The reason why this happens is that glasses and the Quest 2 lenses are not perfectly straight. They taper down at the outside edges. For this reason, the inside needs a thickness of 5mm, but the outside needs a thickness of 7mm, to offer adequate protection.The Kiwi Design Anti-Scratch Ring Lens Protector is designed in this way, and I can’t recommend them enough. They offer the same protection as the AMVR 7mm rings, but with the lower profile of the 5mm AMVR rings. They’re also more durable. However, be aware that even with the lower profile you may need to get the VR Cover XL glasses spacer (if it’s compatible with your facial interface).

This product was frustrating to say the least. It says to remove the original protectors – though after a good 15 min googling videos I learned there weren’t any. I also found it way easier to line the frame up, pop it on, then add the rubber ring. Half the struggle was getting the rubber on before hand. Once frame was attached the rubber went right on with ease and didn’t move around or fall off – at all. Less than 5 minutes to install this way. Had I not tried a different way I’d have returned them due the frustration trying to get the rubber on the plastic ring.Now that they’re on they work like a charm. My daughter has the thick black frame type glasses, and this product now allows her to wear them while playing.One star removed from rating due to the fact that the instructions could be better – they could include an image to show if there’s an existing protector, or add a note that a brand new one may not have any.
