This compass always points East. I wish it would function properly. My father had one like this in the 60s and it would have been a nice memory of him. Fortunately it worked for him but unfortunately this one is junk. Don’t purchase it.

Always reads N or NW. Moved to multiple places in the truck to try and make sure it wasn’t near metal and it never worked properly, i.e., reading wrong direction. If I stand in the middle of a parking lot and hold it, it seems to work fine. Unfortunately it won’t work properly in our truck.

Eh? It arrived broken, had come out of the mounting, but I was able to re-assemble it. It seems to stick, but really for $15 I think it’ll work good on my vibrating ultralight aircraft.

 The compass does not work on my 2016 GMCTerrain headed south and compass says it’s west. Maybe my terrain has a magnetic field that disrupts it. Idk. Always shows NW, second photo we are obviously headed west and it says NW. It’s crazy unreliable.

Not only does this compass reflect directions inaccurately, but the constant rattling while driving can make you crazy! Steer clear of this product!
