For an inexpensive home paper shredder, this is easily a great buy. It functions well and clearly meets the advertised characteristics. Noise level is acceptable. Not perfect, but for the price it is great. It works well if one doesn’t try to sneak in a few extra sheets. Even though it isn’t really fast, it is great for home use when needed. One should buy the product that meets their expected use. For home occasional shredding this was a best buy. Very sturdy and great function!

It’s a great little shredder. I have been using it a lot lately since our old shredder couldn’t do the job anymore. It hasn’t bogged down or overheated yet. It looks small but does a great job.

I’ve listed the notable pros and cons of my experience with the 6-sheet Crosscut version. It is overall a good product and I do not regret purchasing it. There are far worse shredders and better shredders out there on the market, but this shredder is at the right price point (I got it for $35) and gets the job done.Pros:- Makes every paper it shreds completely illegible 100% of the time- Miniature when compared to other shredders out there (doesn’t take up as much space)- Sleek and cute design to the point where I don’t mind having it out on display (I usually hide ugly shredders in a closet)- Easily shreds 1-6 pieces of paper at a time- Able to shred credit cards, staples, paper clips with ease- Safety features workCons:- Extremely loud at times- It’s small size means we have to empty it frequently but it’s way easier to empty than a full heavy bin.- The bin is made of flimsy plastic and it feels that it will crack if I hold it the wrong way

Y’all! I did a major room renovation and came across 3 big purses in my closet full of old check stubs, mail, miscellaneous paperwork, etc…. things from back in 2014 🤦🏾♀️…. I needed a shredder and a reasonable/convenient one. I purchased this and got it the next day (in the morning at 7:30 am) Although my shredding paperwork took about 4.5 hours and it did over heat about 3-4 times. I understood that I had a lot to shred so I was okay with that. For the price, the expedited shipping and it got what I needed to get done. I highly recommend this shredder 10/10! 👍🏾 I will no longer preserve old paperwork or mail cause chile that was just ridiculous lol 😂

My 12-sheet shredder just died one day. It was a heavy machine that sat atop a plastic basket and needed a good fit for the “actuating pin” to sit on this plastic receptacle bin. Over time, the weight of that shredder had cracked the bin and made everything unusable. No replacement for the bin available and superglue and duck tape just wasn’t working.I considered a new shredder that had a pull out bin, but after analyzing how much use (including number of sheets to feed into the machine at one time), cost, and overall weight of the machine, I realized a lightweight shredder might meet my needs. Good decision on my part.Excellent aspects:It is very lightweight machine that has an excellent and comfortable folding handle to lift it off the included basket. I have serious arthritis in both wrists and most fingers, and I can lift this off without any issues at all. It also easily seats right back into the correct position without any problems when put back onto the receptacle bin.It is pretty quiet when running. It has a window that clearly tells you when the bin is getting full, ensuring that you do not overfill and jam the machine. When full, the bin is easy to lift and dump its shredded pieces into a larger trash bag. The pieces may get a little statically attached to the plastic bin, so try covering the opening of the bin with a trash bag before you invert the bin and then tap the aides of the bin to get all the shredded pieces into the trash bag. I still had to round up some “shred debris” that clung to the inside of basket or missed the bag…not big deal.Price was awesome!Average/neutral aspects:My previous shredder had a lock out mechanism that let me ensure the shredder could not be accidentally turned on if the main selector switch was unintentionally moved to the “on” position. This machine does not have such a feature. It has 4 positions: FWD (on with continuous shredder wheels engaged regardless of whether something is sensed in the shredder slot), AUTO (power on, but shredder wheels not engaged unless something is sensed in the shredder slot), REV (shredder wheels in constant motion, but pushing things back out of the feeder slot), and OFF (which powers down the machine, red power light goes off). As there is no “guard switch” to prevent accidental activation, I simply unplugged it when I am not using it for a time and if any small children/pets are around. It also has an overheat light if the motor os getting too hot from continuous or heavy load use.It is not top heavy, but still can be tipped over if you move or bump against it. I have it freestanding on the floor between a similar sized trash can and the side of my desk. I have had no problems with it tipping or moving during use. There is a credit card slot, and while the machine will “chew” these up, you can hear the machine slow and even see the credit card wobble as it is being shredded. Worked OK as I only shred a card or two annually.I would not place more than 3-4 sheets of regular paper in at one time as you can hear the machine slowing to shred that amount. I am sure it can do more, but I decided to simply be cautious. The machine does shred as quickly as most residential use machines, however.Note: The actual continuous run time on this machine is much better than advertised. I ran it for 10 minutes without any problems, although I was only inserting 1-2 sheets at a time, not the max they say you can at a time. No overheat light came one, albeit the top of the machine did become a little warm.Overall, very happy with this machine. It will only get used every couple of weeks and then for only about 15-20 sheets of paper or other junk ail (credit card mailings, credit card receipts, etc…

I bought this little shredder strictly for light duty work. It’s fine for that, and worked with no problems. It does fine for what it is intended to do, such as occasional shredding, but not any heavy use for a busy office. It helps to use both hands when feeding the paper straight into the slot which is fairly narrow. I used it for about an hour and it didn’t overheat and didn’t jam. I fed only 3 or 4 sheets at a time since I noticed some reviews indicated putting 5 or 6 sheets at a time into the shredder may risk a paper jam, especially if it’s heavier paper. You get what you pay for, and this little shredder does what it is intended to do for a cheap price. I like that it is actually smaller in size, doesn’t take up much room, and is easy to put away when not in use.

Simply put, this shredder is a great get-me-by shredder if you’re looking to shred basic documents. My family uses it to shred any sensitive mail that comes to our house.Machine can really only handle 1-2 sheets of paper at a time and may get jammed up if you try to put more in. Machine is quite loud, but for a basic cheap shredder, what can you expect. Also a bit difficult to maneuver as the shredder portion sits on top of the bin and easily comes apart from it. This makes for easy discarding of scraps, but if you try to move the entire unit, it can be difficult.

Does exactly what you need it to do
Great product for the price. Yes, I too read the reviews before buying it and some people saying it stopped working after so much use etc, but I have used it for a while, probably put in up to 3 sheets in 1 go, no issue. I know it says it can take up to 6, but I probably wouldn’t do it, 3 was fine. The only downside I can possibly think of is that it is quite loud, but I am using it in a small room so maybe it just seems louder. No instances of any over heating too like some had mentioned. All in all, I can’t argue for the price and the cross cutting is great.
