I don’t generally write reviews but this is a new favorite. I have a nice car that I don’t want smelling like I smoke so it’s nice that it has a lid that is attached to the body of the ashtray so I don’t have to worry about taking it out every time I get home. Great product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I bought this in June. These things are usually ok unless you want to set your cigarette down, then there’s nothing to be done if you don’t want to risk setting fire to the outed butts inside. So, I always dump it after every drive. I also close the lid after each use to contain the smoke and odor. Also, I literally only drive 2-4 times a month, and since I only allow myself only one cigarette each way on an outing, you can see I haven’t had much much use of it.So, what’s the problem? 2 days ago when I got in the car, & opened the ash tray, the light was not working! I thought these LED lights were supposed to last years! Mine didn’t even make 5 months, with very little use & a lot of care, I might add. Of course returns closed after 30 days. Last gripe: they don’t really seem to have quality made selection of car ash trays. They’re either super cheap, or cheaply made. They’re mainly tin-type thin, or has sticky or sloppy moving parts. This is not rocket science- is it?!

I want to start out by saying I love the look of this ash tray. I love the click lid and extinguish parts in the side plus a light to see in the dark. However, sadly after only a week of use the lid gets a bit “stuck” when I click it to open. It’s a small inconvenience and does open up on the second tap usually but obviously not ideal for only a week in.

Update: Was contacted by the seller and offered to replace my broken ashtray. Love a seller who cares about their reputation so I am updating to 5 stars. Would definitely recommend buying from this seller.Original review: I bought this for an extended road trip so that I could have a place to put butts when visiting my non smoking friends and family. Unfortunately, after the first 3 days of using it, the lid just fell off. Didn’t have time to try to fix it, so I quickly ordered another one to take with me. This one has held up okay after a couple of weeks and I can still use the first one without its lid (defeating its purpose) but was disappointed that it broke so easily.

Total crap! Lid broke in two weeks. Leaks smoke out like crazy. So it is no where near smell proof. Its way to small also. Don’t waste your money like i did!

Only issue is sometimes I need to double tap the top to open but have to say this is the best ashtray. Love that when closed no smoke smell.Tip: the ashtray was a tad too small for my cup holder so I put it in a cold foam wrapper for soda cans and now it has a snug fit, works great without too but in my car the wrapper works better.Thanks!!!
