I purchased this cassette recorder for a friend of mine to use for choir rehearsal. It worked up until last week when none of the buttons would work. We change batteries we plugged it in we did everything possible and it just stopped working not impressed at all.

As a huge metal head who listens to tapes all of the time on the go this is a good player. The best part is that it’s quiet when it rewinds unlike my old cassette player that was worth more. It has a okay sound quality (you’re getting what you paid for). I read that someone said that theirs had a buzzing issue or it didn’t work but mine came working really well. I’m pretty sure it’s mono playback as it was hard to see the reader. 4 stars because it’s a good product.

I bought for my son who is a veteran, at his request, as he recently had both legs amputated & is in a rehab facility. Unfortunately it does not work on battery function so my son must sit in his wheelchair near an electrical outlet. He refused to return it as he desperately wanted to occupy himself with music. Very disappointed.
