I suppose it’s a statement of the DSL industry that you can’t get a replacement filter from the service provider any more. A filter went bad on the line with the phone attached. Needed one in a hurry. Amazon to the rescue. Installed on the line, and things are back up and running in record time. Now, if only fiber were in the neighborhood….

My parents use magic jack for their phone service and every time I call them the connection is filled with static and echoes. After some research I figured out they needed a filter. I bought this and after receiving it I installed it in literally 30 seconds. Final verdict is this fixed the problem and now they experience crystal clear phone calls. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has similar issues.

I bought a phone from Amazon. It’s a nice phone. It sits on the kitchen counter. However, before I could connect the phone, I had to have one these gizmos. I visited 3 stores in two counties before someone told me I had to buy it online. This was not a problem from Amazon. This was a problem from the manufacturer who could have included it in the box and charged ten dollars more. Needless to say, I am happy with it, it works fine but I had other things that could have been done without driving around two states only to discover the answer was solved by my computer search.

I added this Filter to Recording machine it helped slightly to reduce static noise But has reduced Volume somewhat.
This item works well with my VOIP line that is connected to my fax machine. Every time I ran my self test on my fax it said I had noisy phone line, this item corrected this issue.

I bought it so I wouldn’t have to unplug and re-plug in the https://www.amazon.com/Sentry-Industries-Inc-CT-CID868-Blocker/dp/B019ERMS90/ whenever it made the Telephone state “Line In Use”. Since plugging it in between the cord plugged into the Line port and the Sentry Call Blocker, the line no longer gets randomly in use after a call has been completed. The only issue I have is that there is some noise before the dial tone that lets you know that its ready for a call to be made (maybe buying another one and plugging it between the Telephone cord will help fix it). I recommend it for use with the mentioned product and also for DSL modems, etc.EDIT: The one being shipped now is the one shown at https://www.amazon.com/Premier-PT-DSL-ILF-In-Line-Filter-Single/product-reviews/B0030HNFJS, not the one at https://amazon.com/dsl-filters-kit-500-lea-networks-pmf600p04us-dsl-filters/dp/B007AH4MC8/. The one being shipped now isn’t as good as the one that I made this review about.
