Customer service for this company was great. The DVD player stopped working when we had it for about a year. We had only used it once. I contacted their customer service and was very pleasantly surprised that the product had a warranty. They shipped us a new one free of charge. It arrived quickly and works great. We didn’t even have to go to the trouble of shipping back the broken one. So 5 stars for the customer service. I can’t review the player itself until we’ve used it more.

This DVD player is perfect, easy to use, compact, just what I was looking for. Then the unthinkable happened, it just gave up. It was under a year old so I contacted Electcom’s customer service. They were right on it, no hesitation, I’m getting a replacement within a week, very surprised by their thoughtfulness, and super happy. Will seek out their products in future!

This is a very good DVD player. It boots up a disk quickly, produces a great picture, the remote is easy to use and it comes with both RCA cables and HDMI cables. I have tinnitus and require on-screen text so I assumed since this player was for the elderly, it would be fully functional for both subtitling and CC Closed Captions. It plays subtitles, but subtitles are part of the DVD Disk menu functionality, so most all players will play subtitles. However, this player does not have a CC Closed Caption encoder and will not play DVD Disk that has CC but not subtitles – which is about 25% of my DVD collection. I contacted the seller’s customer service – they were prompt in responding to my CC questions, but did not understand that subtitling and Closed Captioning are two distinctly different technologies. I really liked this player, but had to return it because of the lack of CC functionality.

The dvd player was great key word WAS. Only 5 months worth of use then the player wouldn’t turn on or open. Sad and my movie is stuck inside because the dvd player won’t turn on. Contacted the seller and they sent a replacement so far so good 1/28/24 . Great communication and fast response

I purchased this item about a year ago and it stopped functioning close to a year later. I contacted the email provided on the instruction manual and received a very quick response. With a positive attitude they walked me through several options to try to pinpoint and address the problem. When everything was tried without success they offered to send me a new DVD player without the bother of returning the broken one. It arrived when they said it would and works well. So, I am a satisfied customer. In these times great customer service is not that common, but it should be.

Starts a series at the beginning, skips the part where you can choose which episode. Buttons on remote are almost flat with plastic, hard to discern one from another, not the greatest layout of button controls either.

Don’t waste your money
This is the most unreliable DVD player we have ever used. The remote does not work at least half the time and when it does it jumps from chapter to chapter or returns to the menu again, again and again. The most frustrating piece of garbage. We threw it in the trash.

Ease of use for blind people
My wife is totally blind and uses this for books on cd and music only. No setup required for straightforward audio. I only had to attach 6 clear sticky dots to buttons to guide her. When she stops part way through a chapter it picks up where it left off which is a HUGE plus. This is the best we have ever found for her needs and I was able to connect it with her old school Rotel integrated amp directly. Most dvd players today have digital audio out only requiring the user to connect to a converter box first to get the RCA to amp connection completed. Nice to find someone filling the needs of people with older technology! I had to email a question and got a swift perfect answer from a woman that answered. I can’t vouch for the video part but have no doubt that it is superb too. The spoken voice sound quality is very clear. Thanks from both of us!!!!!!!!!!
