This little piece of trim completes the wiper cowling on my F150. I have no clue why it wasn’t installed at the factory but it looks “finished” now. It took about 3 minutes to install both sides. I used panel trim tools to remove the plastic trim fastener.

Ford’s design for these pieces seems to be weak, faulty and prone to them flying off quickly. As I look at other Ford F150’s it’s hard to find one with these still intact. I solved that with these. I used black RTV silicone on the under sides and once set, they are firmly held in place and won’t fly off. Of course this adds to the overall price.

They look like a direct factory replacement but not quite. They do the job, but the driver’s side doesn’t fit exactly like it is supposed to. It will not snap in place like the other side. It tends to work itself loose. For the price they work well.

Installed them on my 07 F150, used sidecut pliers to remove the push pins. After removing them I noticed a small bead of silicone on the very small lip of the fenders. Cleaned the silicone off, installed the new cowl end pieces used needle noose pliers to pull the small curved pieces thru till they were set in place then I applied a very small amount of exterior silicone to the small inner lip of the fender approximately 1/8″ bead by 2″ long, pushed down on the new pieces and installed the push pins. Let them set all day to cure the silicone. They fit very nice and look original. They shouldn’t blow off with the silicone as an extra bond. Took about 30 minutes start to finish to do it the right way. I highly recommend this product from the seller.

Cheap plastic. Plastic tabs are flimsy and don’t hold. Had to use super glue to keep it in place. Poor fit. Wouldn’t buy again. Paid $16…worth $5 at most.

Fits as advertised
If little things being not right on your vehicle bother you, this is a good purcahse. They fit the truck just fine and are holding up well. It’s a bit of an odd design what Ford did here, a little tricky to get hooked in there, but once they are in they stay put and look good. I freshened up the rest of the wiper cowl with some bumper and trim paint to get away from the sun bleached look. Painting the cowl and replacing these made this area of the truck look new again.

Would buy again
Only one side needed replacing on my truck (2004 f150). Installation was surprisingly easy. Fitment could be better, but all I really needed was something to stop the rattling at highway speeds. It works.
