This Fangor DVD car setup is great for entertaining people in the backseat on car trips. (Kids would be an obvious target but also for adults). The setup was quick and easy. There are two monitors, one for each headrest. The DVD plays on one of them and the other one mirrors it through a cable. It worked well right from the get go. The picture quality was good and what I expected. (It’s a car DVD player after all so it’s unfair to say compare it to your 4K TV at home, but for what it is, the picture quality was really solid.). It has speakers to play sound but you can also plug headphones in for a “quiet” ride. We used it on a road trip to San Francisco I did after I got it and my passengers in the back were VERY happy to have it to pass the time on the ride. You can also use it as a “regular” DVD player to attach to a TV if you want to in a pinch.Oh another really good thing to note is it plays all Region DVDs, so if you have ones from Europe or Asia it will play those too. Super useful!

I needed tv’s to keep my kids entertained during a long road trip. I was a bit concerned as this is a pretty cheap system but nothing has proven to be made cheaply. The dual mounting options are great. My young daughter can reach the screen when mounted with the clamp so I moved it up to the headrest. My son is older so the lower mount in better Dr he’s not having to look up to see it. Both mount easily and securely.Picture quality is fine. Colors look good, no dead pixels etc. The remote works as it should and not difficult to use. Here’s my only complaints:The power button is a switch. Because it has a battery as well (great feature) it doesn’t turn off when the car turns off so you have to manually turn it off. Not a big deal. The cords are a bit short to run if one is mounted in the back and the other mounted to the front seat. I can do it but a cord sticks out from the seat across. They don’t claim to be long enough to hide them in this manor and would be a bit long if not so I don’t knock it for this. All in all a great buy.

This DVD player is great for long car rides and kids. We got it so that our kids could watch shows or movies in the car while we drive. This player is easy to use and set up (as long as you follow the instructions that come with it). It also comes with mounting gear so that you can mount the DVD players to the back of the seats so that they don’t need to be held. Although the players do work well being held too (one of my kids likes to hold it in their lap). The battery life is long and the players stay charged for a while, although we usually just keep them plugged in. There is a remote control that come with them, which makes it so much easier to use (this way you can pause, play, fast forward, and etc…). The only down side to the players is that they are NOT cordless. So there are a good bit of cords to manage (cord to plug in/charge and two cords to connect the two players to each other). The cords only reach from the middle seats to the front and not from the back seat all the way to the front (good to know for charging purposes). Overall I gave it 4 stars, good price, good quality, and easy to use.

UPDATE!!!Originally a 1 star review and now a 5 star! The company saw our review- posted nearly a year after our purchase- and reached out to make it right. They sent a new dual screen dvd player to us at no charge. Both screens work great and we have faith they’ll make it more than a half dozen car rides. Customer service was fantastic and we would feel comfortable recommending or ordering from them again. We bought this in 2022 for a long road trip. We had rear facing kiddos at the time and only used the one primary screen, worked great! One year later our kiddos are front facing and we’re off on another road trip- time for two screens! The secondary screen is broken and not functional at all. We’ve never used or traveled with it. We figure we can make one screen work and hang the primary screen. It worked for one use. Now it won’t move off the main screen and we’re unable to watch any dvds. It was disappointing enough that we paid for two screens only for one to arrive broken- not discovered until a year later- but for the primary component to only work a half dozen times is a huge let down. Super disappointed in this product.

I purchased these before taking an 11 hour road trip with two littles, ages 6 and 18 months.Very simple to install, I used the mounting bracket method. My vehicle has a regular outlet on the backside of the center console, so it was easy to plug-in. It also comes with a car charger and the cables to connect to a tv. Or they can be used alone in a “tablet style” to watch DVDs.Very easy to set up and get working. It has an internal battery, so if you turn off the car to get gas, they stay playing. That’s also a great feature for sitting in car-line!They stayed installed plugged-in in my car for a solid 2 years and still work perfect!! Also, we live in Florida, so the inside of the car gets HOT!

I bought the larger DVD player set a few months ago and love it. My son uses the main monitor in the second row while it is plugged in to charger port in the front row, constantly being charged. Then my other two watch the second monitor all the way in the third row. The cords are a bit on the way when they get in and out the car but it does the job.Recently my son was fiddling with the cords while I was driving and broke the av plug off inside of the av port on the main monitor. (Basically, the male part was broken off inside the DVD player and I couldn’t get it out.) This rendered the second monitor useless. Hence, the reason I bought a new set. So my son now uses the larger sized main monitor by itself in the second row. And my other two kids use both of the smaller sized dual monitors in the third row. Unfortunately I’ll have to recharge the third row monitors in the house every two car trips because the charger cord isn’t long enough to reach all the way to the front row. But other than that, the set up is great.I did notice that the larger DVD players have the plastic headrest mounts and the smaller DVD players have the Velcro mounts. I really do like the plastic headrests a lot. But for the price of the smaller ones, I can see why they aren’t included.I really like these DVD players. Once my son broke the av off inside the main monitor, I did notice that the DVD player got a lot quieter. Hopefully it keeps working long term.

I’m going to list the cons first, as some are large cons. The pros speak for themselves.Cons:-constant high-pitched whine coming from the unit while anything is playing. It is not quiet, and is very obnoxious.-the SD card reader is a game changer, EXCEPT that you have to have videos in formats older than some middle schoolers (it’s 2022, fwiw). Mpeg2 and AVI are the recommended formats, both of which have been all but phased out for 10 years or better. Mpeg4 and MKV need to be accepted.-the SD card only works in FAT32 format. No big deal, but it also states that up to 128Gb is supported as well. This should be corrected as the max drive size for FAT32 is 33Gb. While you can go beyond that, it is beyond the scope of knowledge of the vast majority of consumers. At the least, some fine print should be added regarding this. exFAT would fix this, if supported.-Along this same vein, the file size limit can be a problem if you have HD videos that you want to throw on there and watch downscaled. FAT32 supports a max file size of 4Gb, and a 1080p video can approach that very quickly. exFAT would fix this, if supported.-typos on the menu in several spots. Definitely felt like a cheaper product when I discovered the multiple typos on the setup menu.Pros:-mounting these TVs, no problem. Feels sturdy.-two different ways to mount; either with the plastic brackets or a standard Velcro strap.-pretty good video quality-pretty good audio quality, minus the above cons.-internal battery keeps the devices running when you stop to get gas, food, etc, which is very useful. We won’t use them outside the car but its a nice feature having hours of playback on battery.Needs to be updated with modern file formats and allow exFAT SD card format.

I bought these for my grand children to use while we drive back and forth between my house in Minnesota and theirs in Wisconsin. It makes the trip fly by and for the most part the two are happy (and quite) they’re 3 1/2 and 21 months. Money well spent!

Third Review;Okay, so I am going to update this again, first I wish to apologize to Fangor and Dragon Max, for a misunderstanding. The second unit that I received (the one in the pictures) was not supposed to have been sent to me, it was a unit that was returned to Amazon that was supposed to be scrapped, yet somehow got sent out to me. A fangor representative has since been in touch with me, and issued me a complete refund for the original unit that I purchased. They reached out to me on their own, after reading my initial review, and offered a complete refund so for their customer service I give them 5 stars, after emailing back and forth and then me receiving a bad unit (not their fault) they still reached out to me and apologized and credited my Amazon Account the full refund. I am changing my overall rating to 4 stars, because of this. The unit still has some issues but the company is striving to make a better product. I will be buying another product from them because they made it right in the end, without me asking for the refund. If you do happen to get a unit that has some issues, before you write a bad review, reach out to the company and discuss it with them. It may be that they will be willing to provide you with a refund or another unit, like they did me.Second Review; So this is my update, after writing the below review, I was contacted by the maker of the DVD System (supposedly Fangor), who apologized and then asked via email if I would be willing to accept a refund for the DVD player, (alarm bells start ringing), I said I was going to buy a new DVD player, from someone else. Long story short, via email, they asked me for my address and that they would send me a new DVD player system and all they asked was that I update the review to reflect the replacement and the quality of their customer service. The attached pictures are of the unboxing of the “new” DVD player system. You will note:The unit box is standing in the shipping box,The unit box is torn and obviously pretty battered, the DVD Player System was just thrown into the box haphazardly, the screen on the main player is cracked and damaged, (probably from being shoved into the box),the parts and pieces in the box, absent the mounting brackets, the cord in my hand is not even the correct audio video cord for the system.I will never buy one of these units or anything from FANGOR, again, and I will not purchase anything from “Dragon Max” (Amazon Seller). Instead I think I am going to buy my granddaughter a tablet that I can mount to the backrest.First Review; At first this seems like a good product, then I tried to mount it, the mounting bracket did not fit my headrest posts, finally jury rigged it to fit, and got it set up for my grand daughter. Worked great for the first 8 months, then it started freezing up and loading very slowly. Looking for a replacement but not this brand.

Mounting system is good but I have to do some modifications on the brackets picture quality I mean it’s Tft screen the quality is equal to price if you need something better than that check oled or qled screens but it’s enough for the kids…Alright let’s get started I’m a computer savvy person and I don’t want to carry couple bags of dvd in the car also every time swapping the disc course risk probably you can scratch the frozen and more let it gooo let it go :) the idea is copy all your own dvds to the large capacity digital platform so here I’m talking about a portable hard drives… So as you can see in description it’s says is not support more than 32gb flash drives first it’s wrong but we need special steps to use our own TB Hard drives.. also we need special softwares to convert dvds.1) Formatting the hard drive you Can just google FAT32 Format.*converting the dvds is little bit funky first of all in fat32 file system you can’t copy more than 4gb ( I’m talking about single file ) so our dvd is bigger than that. We need to convert dvd to the *avi and just drop down quality to the normal after this operation you can have almost %75 compression so file size drop down to ~1gb. Don’t worry you never noticed the difference because screen size is small pixels already smushed :) and also This good because less size is equals to more dvds2) for dvd copying software google it Leawo Prof. Media. So what we need ?A external hdd, fat32 format tool, a dvd copy software. How to use that software how about the setting ?It’s so simple run the software, choose DVD Ripper, click output profile, click change, choose AVI Video, put dvd your first legally OWNED dvd in, click add UHD/Blu-ray/DVD button on the left, click Add from CD-ROM.Now after you choose your dvd it’s takes copule minutes to read and gives you choices like – main movie, full movie or custom mode. My opinion choose full movie because after operas in is done you can find eastern eggs in the dvds like ( I’m talking about kid dvds ) songs, animations etc.alright click ok than wait couple more minutes than click green convert bottom after clicking the button software is asks you where you wanna safe this file ? So you have to have enough space on your computer hdd we not gonna save the files in external drive yet!!! So choose the destination than click convert button again.. after operation done check the output folder remove the Intros and trailers or advertisings rename the movie name and tadaaaa repeat the steps for each dvds after all done you can copy your movies to the fat32 formatted external drive… also if you like you can crate folders and organize your movies like animations / documentarys / movies / songs etc.Notes : no special characters on movie names and folders besides – that oneGood luck
