I’m rating this five stars because of how much I’ve used it and how much I’ve enjoyed it. It is not perfect, dead pixels are starting to show up here and there and burn in is culminating in the middle (noticeable in darker pictures), but 6 months since I’ve bought this and I am so so so happy with it, I use it literally everyday and there has been days where it’s been left on and keeps on churning. (The picture is square aspect ratio so doesn’t really show the wideness) but this thing blows up huge. Pros, totally affordable and saved me 100s of dollars in going to theater, last time I went to the theater the screen looked tiny. Fan blows quietly you wouldn’t even know it was there. Clear image about 85 percent clarity and sharpness in the image but when the movies playing any tiny details aren’t even noticeable. Bluetooth function is very helpful. Menu is simple to understand. Light weight just pop it on a camera stand is what I did. Portable, though not battery powered I can through it in a bag easy and setup anywhere. Good construction. All around I’ve been super happy with it.ConsSome edges are a little blurred again not noticeable during the film, burn in after 6 months just a light faded color change in the middle noticeable in dark images. Small dead pixels, (might be dust on the light inside but I can’t reach it without getting a long screwdriver and taking it apart), not the easiest to get perfectly aligned but does a good job. Not great for low angles or high angles, better straight on like on camera stand or something. Somewhat dim in pitch black it works well and with just the smallest light you can still see, could be a bit brighter but still works, most projectors have that thing anyways. Not possible to get edge to edge image sharpness, I’ve tried for months but there’s always or corner or a side that is a little less sharp then the other but nothing major or noticeable when involved in a film. Weak speaker, hook up to something better to get full use.All around I love this thing, my friends love this thing my family loves this thing, we watch movies like everyday, so much so we can hardly find anything else good to watch. Thank you guys for this best product I’ve ever bought.Update the screen burn in is getting worse. Still love this thing but I think it’s gonna be out in about 3 months sadly. Hoping I can find a way t replace the led if possible

This is a great little projector that provides a clear picture and at a great price. If you really want high res picture and theater-level sound, then this isn’t for you. We got it to host movie nights with the kids and it is perfect for that.We bought a separate screen as recommended by others and it’s still hard to see during the day, but we don’t have a big blank wall. It’s great at night. We also haven’t tried it outside yet, but I think it’ll work just as well.To play content through streaming providers, you can either use your phone (you’ll need the extra plug suggested by the company) or you can just plug a Roku or Chromecast directly into the projector. So easy. For sound, it wasn’t clear to me before I bought it, but the projector does have a little speaker. It’s fine, but for a better experience, it works with Bluetooth speakers. The part of set-up we spent the most time on was getting it the right height and making the picture straight. That is more likely due to our uneven floor than the projector. We haven’t had it for long so I can’t speak to its longevity, but overall I’m happy with this purchase and looking forward to more movie nights!

I bought this projector for $40 on Black Friday, I don’t think I’d pay $100 for it, but it was a steal at $40. The speaker is pretty bad but it’s relatively easy to connect to a Bluetooth speaker. The picture is good at 100 inches but the refresh rate must be pretty low, fast action scenes get pretty blurry. It’s not the brightest projector but it’s in my basement so works well for me. The included screen is so thin the light passes right through and makes a double image, so I had to hang a spare white sheet right behind it. Overall I’d give it 5 stars at $40, but I see it’s $80 now, so I’d give it 4 stars at that price.

Considering the price this is very impressive. Pros of the HAPPRUN 9500L:It’s bright, in a good way. I am projecting on a white ceiling above my bed. Why sit on the couch when you can lie back and watch a movie? The colors are bright and clear. I have the settings picture mode MILD, color temperature MEDIUM, and noise reduction OFF.Even with a table lamp on it’s still plenty bright but it’s better to turn off all lights to cut down on other light reflectionThe remote works well but you’ll need two AAA batteries as they don’t come with itThe unit is compact, very sturdy well-builtWatching movies was as good as my laptop but way bigger on the ceiling. I would say comparable to lower-end big TVIt does have some fan noise but extremely reasonable if you’re not sitting on top of itYou get a lot more bang for your buck than your expected.Marketing versus reality: (issues with all manufacturers)Pretty much all the video projectors quote ridiculously high numbers as to their lumens or brightness. Read the reviews they’re much more realistic than the manufacturer’s descriptionsShowing people with their smartphone mirroring content… The reality is you cannot mirror Netflix or apple TV etc to projectors. They don’t want you to become the neighborhood movie theater.I use my laptop and a long HDMI cable and I can watch anything I want Support 4K- notice it doesn’t say projects 4K because it doesn’t. That would cost you a couple of thousand dollars. even saying it projects 1920*1080 might be pushing it… Since the reviews I watched showed the HAPPRUN had better resolution than many of the competitors I agreeTHE CONS:If you’re looking at text, from a website you will notice out-of-focus areas and it’s somewhat difficult with the focus wheel to get that dialed in exactly. It’s not an issue when you are watching a movie but around the edges can be out of focus no matter how much you fiddle.±15° Keystone Correction… Keystone or deskewing allows you to adjust angles when viewing on a screen that may be higher than the actual projector or in my case on the ceiling. The Keystone on the HAPPRUN is very limited. And I must say my older projector had better Keystone. The top screen goes off your projector area when the bottom fits in with room to spare. key adjust that somewhat. Keep in mind it’s under a $100Color Black – the colors are very Vivid but the blacks tend to take on darkness all to their own. This creates a really Vivid contrast but as an example, if a newscaster is wearing a black shirt with black buttons the buttons pretty much disappear. This oversaturation of black might be corrected by changing the contrast but I got used to it pretty quicklyI’d first studied some reviews on YouTube and came across HAPPRUN which beat out 12 other video projectors… got third place for great projectors under $100. I had an Auking video projector for 4 years and used it every night but was not bright like the HAPPRUN

Absolutely blown away by the quality at this price!
I am incredibly impressed by the quality of this little thing. For about the price of a “cheap” replacement bulb for my old DLP projector that cost 6x as much, this thing is visually outperforming it in a big way. Sure it only has one HDMI input, but that can be easily fixed with a splitter – I wasn’t expecting it to be chock full of features at around $100. But at approx. 10′ distance, I’m getting a super crisp 100″ 1080p image that is bright enough and quite vibrant to my eyes. It also accepts a 4k signal, which looked even more incredible, though it’s 30Hz (fps) – fine enough for videos, not so much for gaming. No noticeable lag, either – I haven’t tested any really high-paced FPS games, but Palworld looks/plays beautifully. As an extra bonus, it doesn’t have the “rainbow effect” that DLP projectors have, which I find off-putting. It’s nice to be able to pan your eyes around the screen and not feel slightly dizzy. The LED light source means it should also last a good long time, hopefully the screen inside can hold up, but again, at $100 it seems a pretty ok “risk” to take. The remote has all the buttons it needs, though it is pretty light and cheap feeling. Sadly the thin battery compartment door was a little tough to slide open and cracked in the process, it still works – but it was usurped by my universal remote anyways. The included screen is nice enough, but probably best to use only if you don’t have a nice white wall or higher quality screen to use. The soft fabric material blurs the image slightly and causes bloom around brighter objects, as opposed to straight onto my white wall, which offered a much sharper image. A big crease down the middle required it being stretched to a pretty severe level before it wasn’t visible. I assume if you had a proper, higher quality screen, it’d be even more impressive. In the end, it’s still a nice bonus you don’t usually get, especially at such a great price.Recommended ++

    Amazing!
High definition and resolution, like you are watching inside the theatre. Highly recommended.

    Ridiculously good for the price
Purchased this to use in the kids play room so was never meant to be anything serious. This projector has me seriously impressed with the quality you get for the price, it has far exceeded my expectations. Easy to set up (Bluetooth audio is fantastic), used a cheap 210×210 vertical blind on the wall as a screen and all sorted. It’s worth noting that the inbuilt speakers are pretty average, you’ll almost definitely need a Bluetooth speaker instead. Well worth the money!

    Great for the price
I paid 85 bucks CAD plus tax for this on sale. I set it up in the basement and even with some lights on it’s very watchable.Quality of colours, contrast etc? I’m sure a more expensive projector placed alongside it would look better, but this is fun to watch and makes a big screen on my wall. Colours look fine to me, and if you are in this low-end projector market, I expect it will look just fine to you too.I connected by bluetooth to a soundbar I had around no problem. I only listened using the built in speaker for a bit, but again for this price it seemed quite good.It should be noted that this doesn’t include any smart TV features, so you need I source. I bought a Google Chromecast dongle for $40, and now it’s fully functional. And if the Projector doesn’t last, I can re-use the dongle on another one or elsewhere. The zoom function can only be used to make it smaller, and it’s digital so I think quality goes down as you zoom it. Manual focus, manual keystone vertical only and not very much keystone. Others mentioned it’s hard to get clean focus everywhere on the image, and I think that’s the keystone. I used it and maybe noticed a little. Best bet is to place it more or less at the level you want and about 12 to 15 feet from the wall, and minimal keystone. As others have noted, the screen is rubbish, bare wall is better.I totally recommend this. Glad I bought it.

    Great value for money
I wanted an inexpensive projector to watch YouTube & twitch streams at night, projecting onto my window blinds. I can hook this up to my Bluetooth speaker, and cast from my phone to the chromecast plugged into its HDMI port, so it’s perfect for my use case. The inbuilt speaker is quite loud but don’t expect cinema-quality sound. The fan is a little noisy. The key hole is really basic compared to the corporate projectors I’ve used, but putting the projector on a tripod helps make the image more rectangular. There’s a screw-out foot to adjust the angle, but also a separate threaded hole for a tripod. The image quality is better than I’d expected for the price. The focus wheel is easy to use, and the image is quite sharp (for the types of input I’m watching). It can be tricky to get the projector oriented square to the screen, so the focus may be variable across the whole image.Since my blinds are opaque, I like the feature that allows me to reverse the image means I can watch content from the outside in the correct orientation. It came with a projector screen, which I have not used.I think it’s great. It’s exactly what I wanted, and I’ve used it almost nightly for the last few months.
