Pretty easy to install. My only complaint is that the gas cap retainer attaches into a hole in the housing. I actually broke the housing attempting to push in into that hole. I drilled a slightly bigger hole and it popped right in. Be very careful.

Positives: It looks great, and the materials seem very solid.Negatives: The install takes a little creativity. I run a 2016 JK, and as mentioned by others, there is a very small hole in the body, in which a small, round tab on back of the OEM filler housing inserts to keep it secure and from spinning. The tab on this product was not aligned with the body hole, which prevented proper installation. I chose to drill a small hole in the body (with a little dab of paint to minimize corrosion) that aligned with the tab on this product, and it now fits like a glove.

My black 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited did not come stock with a gas cover. I had been wanting one really bad, and my husband purchased this for me because it went with my color scheme. It looks GREAT. I have not had any issues whatsoever and the color is on point!

I really like this fuel door. I took off the plastic funnel shaped backing and just used the aluminum door for a custom fuel cell cap cover . Worked perfectly and it was used, so extra cheap!

The instructions are some of the worst I have ever attempted at deciphering. They are largely pictures that fail to depict the required steps.Once I figured it out the cover took 30 minutes to install and went in fairly easily, except there is a spring that holds the door open/closed and one end of the spring had popped out from the back of the cover. At first I couldn’t figure out why the cover wouldn’t sit flush, but placing the spring back in its position fixed the issue.Lastly, the gas cap sits very tightly on top of the rubber gasket. I don’t think the rubber gasket is incorrectly placed, it fits firmly around the filler neck and the gas cap cover, and the gas cap does screw on correctly. But the last quarter turn is very tight. If you have wrist issues I would recommend looking at another product… Or maybe the directions were unclear and there is an easier way to fit the rubber gasket that better allows you to screw on the gas cap.

Good product but not exactly what I ordered.
The picture clearly shows a black finish on the filler door however I received one that has an American flag painted on it. Otherwise it’s good.

It fits and looks nice, doesn’t lock down perfectly and will turn a bit if too much force opening
It does look good with my Jeep, now I have a door instead of an exposed fuel cap… however, it’s not perfectly tight and will turn. There is a guiding hole on the Jeep to line things up, this cap didn’t have any protrusion to line up with it. Oh well, it looks good and for the price paid I didn’t expect perfection. If it falls off in the breeze I’ll get the Mopar one. It didn’t help that I have LED tailights and there is a resistor installed, therefore much less room to work. Pic is attached, you decide if you want it or not.
