This is easy and works beautifully I had an attic full of pictures and slides of my parents, grand parents, aunts , uncles and nieces. I had pulled 700 pictures or more for my mothers memorial of 93 for her siblings which we were all impressed how the pictures were preserved perfectly. Capture timeless happy, beautiful, loving memories and will be able to preserve them for the rest of my life and share with family. Works great for TV or Large screen to project. Easy to adjust each picture to perfection. Definite buy so much loving memories and enjoyable moments to share.

This device is my pride and joy. I purchased it to digitize old film for clients, and it does an amazing job. The device is simple and easy to use, has a great resolution on the screen, and can fit many different sizes. The only issue I’ve had is with the 35mm slide holder having too much space on the inserted end. I stuck a little piece of rolled tape to block the slide in place on one end, which helped. If there was a slide holder that had a plastic frame to hold the slide, I’d be over the moon. While the pricepoint is on the higher end, it’s totally worth it!!!

Not sure exactly what I expected at this price point, so I’ve tried to balance my comments accordingly. First of all, the item is very neat and well-organized. The instruction manual is very good, and the keys/logic are very straight-forward to use/learn. Basically, this is just a box with a camera phone that takes pics of your slides/negative. There’s 2 resolution settings; use the high one, gives files ~3-4 MB each.Good/great: small, lightweight, easy to learn/use, seems like a decent price-point.Not so good/great:- the slide/film carriers sometimes slip out a little from the base unit, leaving edges/shadows in the scans. Took me ~1/2 dozen rolls of film (slides) to figure that out, and had to re-do a couple of them.- it doesn’t handle ‘curled’ negatives very well (that is, curved side-to-side from sprocket edge to sprocket edge). I’ve used it with some ‘old’ stuff (but not that old), ~30-40 yrs, and the film is curled a bit. Sometimes it won’t feed through the mechanism (so you have to take out the slide racks, position by hand, and re-insert). Not THAT big a deal, I suppose, but still a bit of an annoyance.- seems the curling causes it to lose a bit of focus; that is, the film carrier doesn’t force the film to lie perfectly flat in the center of the scanning area.- it takes a bit of getting used to to slide slides (does that make sense?!); starting a box, easy to put in 1, then 2, then the 3rd to help push/align the 1st one, etc. The last couple can be a bit tricky tho; have to use another slide to push/align the last ones. With 2 slides in the tray, you can barely (and I mean BARELY) grasp 1 from the left and 1 from the right to pull them out (otherwise, you’ll have to use another slide to push them through). One thing I didn’t completely realize when I ordered is that you HAVE to have/use an SD card. Description seemed to suggest (to me) ‘optional’, but that’s not the case. I thought I’d be able to hook to laptop and scan/save directly there, but not so. NEED an SD card (luckily I had one on hand); the item saves to the SD card, and then you have to remove from the item, insert into laptop, and copy (etc.). There is a function to transfer from the item to computer but I haven’t tried that…at minimum, you’d still have to disconnect USB from the item (power) and plug into computer. Don’t love that, but it’s really not all that bad.

Very easy to use. this 5″ version comes with a USB and HDMI cord. Saved file size is reasonable. Remember an SD card is required to save images. (32 GB size max) and the SD card is not included. . I purchased for home use scanning old 35 mm slides and negatives and it works well for me. You can also scan other formats 110 and126. 120-620 size film is too large for this scanner. You need a 5V-1A usb power source (computers work fine) or a separate adapter (I use my phone charger). You have two choices for resolution 14MP or 22MP (interpolated), I use the 14MP for smaller file sizes.Overall very happy with the scanner for my use. If you want to scan large amounts of slides/negatives need to look at other products.Gary in CA

The Kodak Slide Scanner was very easy and intuitive to use. I was able to digitize several hundred slides in a very short time. It took longer to organize the slides out of the box then to scan them. I was very satisfied with the adjustments for RGB and light balance and also with the overall quality of the scans. This is a product I would definitely recommend.

I just finished uploading all my dad’s slides from the past 60 years. This worked great! I was very grateful that the screen was large enough that I was able to tell who and what the picture was about. It was easy to use. I bought this during one of the Prime Day sales last year but had had my eye on it for a couple years. The color quality depended on the age of the slide, and fuzziness was dependent on the photographer. So no complaints here about this at all. As a matter of fact, it was well worth the price to finally get this done and get rid of the guilt of boxes and boxes sitting up in an empty room!

Exactly what I needed
I have thousands and thousands of negatives and slides that I had to scan in and digitize. I had previously bought a different model, which had dust right inside the unit, and it was putting dust marks on every photograph. This one is much better quality, and I can adjust the settings, light, dark, etc. Was really easy and surprisingly because of the ease of use it did not take me very long to get them all scanned into my computer. Definitely worth the money if you have a lot of pieces that you need to digitize.

Muy facil
Muy fácil de usar, descargas todas las fotos en una tarjeta SD sin computadora, eso hace que lo hagas rápido, ya después pasas la memoria a la computadora sin problema. Logre pasar cientos de diapositivas en solo medio día.

Just “WOW” …..
I was on a mission to convert all my colour & B/W negatives to digital, and this little box of tricks did exactly that. I’m not really one for reading instructions, so I set it up, plugged it in, popped in a memory card, and switched it on, click through a couple of self explanatory settings, and your good to go. The results were nothing short of impressive, the quality really is very good, but that also does depend on the quality of the negative in the first place, i did find that my 30 year old colour negatives had deteriorated slightly, but the B/W negatives were pretty much perfect, nesulting is some really good quality digital images. Do i recommend this little scanner, …… absolutely 100% worth its weight in gold !
