I had these purchased and installed on my security cameras. It has large enough capacity to last at over a few months (so far past 2 months and still going), and it was easy to format and install. The price is great! I remember I used to purchase something like this capacity for almost the same price for one only. So this is two for the price of one in my experience. With a GoPro camera, if you don’t have good microSD cards, the camera can be laggy and stop recording during longer videos… even more so on a 4K video. While they actually specify a higher rate than these… I put them into my older Hero4 and Hero3 cameras…. and they have been working better than in the past. It was an inexpensive upgrade. I also put a set in my ROKU device… it also seems MUCH faster now. I like them… great speed-for-cost ratio.

I was looking for some 16GB uSD cards, but found that these are actually cheaper so decided to give these a shot. They turned out to do the job just fine, and doubled the expected capacity I needed, for a better price. Pretty good deal. I ended up getting a whole bunch of these and did a “refresh” of some old 8GB and 16GB micro SD cards that have been in use for a long time before they fail on me. Recommend.

I tested this using h2testw.exe and found it with no errors at all.I did actually reformat it by deleting the FAT table and and re-initializing it for the most part. There was some ancillary data there I wanted to get rid of. It all went smoothly.My system only got 18.4 Mb per second on read and write but there are a lot of factors that would lead to that. This wasn’t a speed test, only a test for data accuracy writing to every sector of the disc and then verifying the data.I’m pleased with the result of No Data lost.

They’re usually cheaper than SanDisk and almost as good. “You get what you pay for”. It should work fine in an RPi 4 or 5.The really cheap ones should only be used for transporting data from one computer to another. The high capacity very, very cheap ones are frauds. You can check the device with F3 test (Fight Flash Fraud)

These Lexar 64GB memory cards are great for many purposes, but my primary usage will be in digital SLR cameras for still imaging (versus video recording). I like that there are standard SD card adapters for the mini SD cards, and the mini SD cards can also be useful in other applications, such as in some tablets and RaspberryPi enclosures for Raspbian operating systems and content.

I put this in my USB powered security camera from this same site.It replaces a card that should have been very compatible yet gave errors constantly.I would miss recording of alerts and the 24/7 recording too as the camera would often ‘not recognize card’ leaving me with no access to recordings as they were not written to the card.The card in question was new at time of install and is aSanDisk Ultra Plus 128 MicroSD XG1 V10 class 10 A1This new Lexar card while smaller in capacity gives me much more data as it is yet to malfunction.This card is always available when checking the camera with the app and has video and stills every time.Yes there is environmental considerations for failure of the old card, but this new one is subject to the same.The fourth bullet point of the description touts water resistance and temperature toleration. Does the other brand have water resistance? I imagined all cards do as they are solid state media, but maybe I was wrong and so in searching for a replacement card I looked specifically for such details once I seen that others might or might not mention them specifically. Humidity, temperature, recording rates – nothing seems to prevent this card from functioning just fine.This card is yet another reason to continue to trust Lexar brand.
