I bought 2 of these backpacks. The 1st one was a while back mainly for work travel, and the 2nd just a few days ago because of the incredible price! The zippers are sturdy and do not get caught up in the material (the material is not cheapy) when opening, and closing. The USB charger connector (on the outside) is shrouded, and facing down so debris, or moisture doesn’t get into it. Quite a few zippered pockets inside for whatever you need to carry. The shoulder straps are very comfortable, durable, and not overly padded (just right). Also the stretchy luggage slip-on on the back is definitely well done, it’s a snug fit, not lose at all. That’s a plus when hustling to your next flight. Depending on its contents it sits upright on its own. It’s rare that I brag about something from Amazon, but this would be one of them. I should buy a few more for gifts. I’m sure this will last a long time, I take care of my stuff, but if you’re rough, and tough then you’ll be satisfied, and happy with this purchase. (Maybe not for survivalists, but I would definitely like to know if anyone else has given this a REAL test of use, abuse, hard core situations).

We tried half a dozen backpacks for our 13 year old boy-girl twins. This bag offered the best combination of space availability, compactness, sturdiness, and organization, without overextending far off the back. Great color choices, too.

Nice little bag; using it right now, travelling to India. Not too large for an elderly lady, but dots my 15″ laptop nicely, with a pocket for my iPad as well. Plenty of pockets for phone, iPod, passport, glasses wallet, etc., etc. Well made, lightweight, nice color and fabric with all the latest features!

The bag came with a little lock, but it was easily ripped from the zipper, so it was meh. However, after using this for years, I’ve liked that the bag can handle some light rain, so I’m not too worried about leaving my laptop or other electronics from work. The bag can handle a lot of items, which I like and there is a pocket for all the little knick-knacks I can use like my pen/pencils, little notebook, hair ties, chewing gums, etc. There is some room so that I can put a little package breakfast/lunch box too.The bag I received did not have a little zipped bag in the back of the bag, so I don’t have any opinion on this feature. This bag has survived several issues when my water bottle has tilted and water has leaked out, but I have found that in the last year, there has been a permanent water stain mark in the front. The external USB port was gimmicky and only lasted a little over a year before it stopped working. I was also worried as there is no cover for it on the out so dust and water could have damaged it.Overall this bag has managed to survive daily wear and tear and occasional abuse from me for years, so was worth the money. A solid backpack choice.

I’ve used this backpack for a semester so far and I’m very happy with it. I like the grey color and simple design. It is comfortable to wear and seems to be pretty good quality.I like this backpack because of the different compartments and pockets. I like to keep stuff separated and organized and this backpack is great for that. It fits my laptop, binder, notebook and miscellaneous stuff with room for more.I like that the backpack is not too big but still holds a lot. When it’s not packed too much it’s nice and flat and doesn’t stick out too much. I think if you wanted to you could fit a lot in there.There’s also a padded pocket on the back where you could put valuables or something which is pretty cool.

This is a fantastic backpack! I bought it to replace an Ogio I had for around 6 years, so I was nervous about this one at first. But I have to say, I think I like this one more than my old one. I love all the nice organizational pockets this has, and there’s even a slot in the laptop compartment that fits my charger and brick! I have an Alienware m17, and it fits perfectly in the padded laptop pocket. The backpack is made of what feels like a very durable canvas like material. The zippers are smooth, which is good and bad, especially on the laptop part, which could flop open if you’re not careful. The straps are comfy and the bonus “secret” pocket on the bottom of the bag is a nice bonus. In fact, there’s a few hidden pockets on this thing! This backpack would be fantastic for travelling, especially since it has loops you can put luggage locks on. I use it as an everyday bag for work, and it certainly serves me well. I highly recommend this backpack!

I bought this backpack specifically for use as an item I could squeeze under the seat in front of me on an airplane. It is an excellent choice for that purpose. The backpack is almost unbelievably light given the multiple compartments, including some with a little padding. I found the pockets to be very useful for organizing my stuff. It fits a lot. I packed a spare set of shoes and two days of clothing along with a book, tablet, toiletries and cosmetics, a jacket, and cord organizer for electronics.The backpack is easy to adjust and comfortable to wear. It also has a strap to slip over the handle of a suitcase, and I’ve found it stays in place unlike the duffle bag I have also used as a carry-on item.I bought the gray because it matches everything and doesn’t show dirt quickly. It met my needs perfectly and I’ll be using it again the next time I fly.

Originally got this backpack for my eldest son’s senior year and used it on a daily now second semester of freshman in college still in amazing shape. there are multiple sections to the bag letting you divide your stuff easier. I put 4 stars for security because trying to unzip and take it would not be a hard task. A definite 5 starts for commuting because it has a very comfortable back and keeps stuff in place well. Lastly, the only reason I put 4 stars on traveling is because it’s hard to store stuff since there are so many different slots most stuff doesn’t fit but would be a great carry-on. In conclusion, this backpack is great for school and carry-on coming in at a price that matches the quality perfectly.

Outstanding Quality and Attention to Detail
Ok, so I rarely write reviews – especially on a product that I’ve just received today! My Matein laptop daypack (17″ model) arrived inside a thick, sealed-plastic protective bag. Upon unsealing, one immediately recognizes the construction – not the flimsy nylon material one normally encounters with consumer daypacks from C*stco – rather, this is built with a heavier ‘rip-stop’ type material with backing. The nylon zippers are also of a heavier, more-durable design than most consumer daypacks. The layout of the daypack is extremely well thought out, with attention to design and detail everywhere: the luggage mounting strap across the back; the ‘hidden’ zippered compartment (perfect for passports/valuables); breathable padding along back and shoulder straps; heavily-padded laptop protection with tiedown strap; built-in USB-A passthrough/connection for charging phones; attached snaplock keyring; six separately-zipped compartments; two water bottle carriers (one each side). Overall impression: this daypack is a great design and value for the money. Suggested improvements: only one… …double-stiched sewing, for increased durability.
