I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the sound of these or not for my application. But I figured, they’re Polk, and they’re a 10 inch for $60. But now I love the warm bass they produce. And so now I’m going to be buying the 8 inch svc, and 1 dvc. I will have four 4ohm loads, and I will run them parallel, to get a 1ohm load to my amplifier. Two 8″, and one 10″, combined to call for 750 watts. So I know I’m going to love that setup in my house. I’m building my home stereo, out of car stereo components. And so far I love this sound system better than any one (for the money I’ve spent) I could have gotten, that was already a package home stereo. I have two 10″ (1 kicker, 1 polk), two 8″ (1 ct sounds tropo, 1 memphis prx), and two 6.5″ Memphis prx. And for now I’m driving all of these wired down to 1ohm, on a power acoustik monoblock razor amp. The amp isn’t setup for 1ohm loads. I tested the amp with an ohms meter, and found it’s pushing a little over 400 watts, and then it shuts down. But with the all polk setup, I will run a 750 watt amp, just for them, and beef up my DC power supply to at least 100 amps supply. And I will probably be done with it, 😆.
