I live in Gerogia about an hour away from Atlanta. Where I am currently situated, I basically live in a ditch with poor phone service, especially in the basement. To make matters worse, the only local option for internet is Kinetic by Windstream, which from past experiences from friends and family is terrible with poor customer service. I was excited, if a bit skeptical, to try T-Mobile Home Internet and see how well it would work for me and my family. The experience without the antenna was mediocre at best. Once we figured out what the “optimal” position was for the gateway, we got around 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload on the best day. The experience was hampered by constant drops that had me second-guessing whether this was the best option for internet.Enter the Waveform MIMO 4×4 Panel. I came across this antenna looking for solutions to the problems we were having and I was immediately in love with the in-depth instructions that Waveform provided to connect the antenna to the gateway. Considering I need a decent and constant internet connection for my current job, this seemed like a no-brainer purchase, especially with other users saying it drastically improved their speeds and stability. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but my mentality was that if this would work with the gateway and provide me with the internet connection I need, then so be it.I’m happy to say that this antenna was worth every penny.Like I mentioned, the Waveform online setup guide for the T-Mobile Home Internet gateway (in this case, the black Arcadyan KVD21 model) is incredibly detailed and easy to follow. Opening the gateway itself was painful and connecting the tiny pins for the antenna was anxiety-inducing (I’m pretty sure I damaged one of the connectors on the board and I most definitely voided the warranty), but once everything was put in place and the cords were coming out of the gateway, the antenna was ready to go.I was worried the panel was a dud at first because I originally put it in the backyard since that was where the only 5G towers in my area were located, according to CellMapper. While the panel was in the backyard, the speed increased slightly on downloads to 75 Mbps at most, but the upload speed went down to around 5-10 Mbps. Even worse, the drops and ping were consistently horrible. It was arguably worse than the gateway performance BEFORE I installed the panel. It was a couple of days before the start of my new job, so I was left panicking that I didn’t have the internet necessary to do my job and that we would be short nearly $400 even if I returned the panel (the damage fees from T-Mobile are ridiculous!).All hope seemed lost until I discovered a tool with the T-Mobile Internet app that allows you to determine where the position of the closest 5G tower is. According to the app, the best position for the gateway was actually near the FRONT of the house, which I didn’t even consider since CellMapper didn’t show any 5G towers in that direction! In a last-ditch move, I decided to move the panel to the front of the house just above the garage, running the panel cable through the attic and down into the garage to connect to the gateway. Now the internet works like a dream. Connecting my phone to the gateway wi-fi, I am now getting very consistent 300 Mbps download speeds (sometimes even higher!) and around 20 Mbps upload speeds, with the connection constantly showing “Good” at the bare minimum and the SINR on the LTE and 5G bands looking fantastic. It’s amazing how one change in positioning can improve the panel’s ability to provide fast internet speeds. And let me tell you, this panel performs above and beyond expectations. Credit to the folks at Waveform for making this thing and providing the instructions to make it work with my current situation. Provided you have the money, tech smarts and strong constitutions needed to put this panel together, I highly recommend it for those having trouble with their T-Mobile Home Internet!TL;DR, get this thing if you want to improve your T-Mobile Home Internet connectivity! Just a few things to keep in mind:- Be sure to read all the manuals, including the one provided with the panel and the guide on the Waveform website for the gateway you are using; everything you need to know is provided in incredible detail- Prepare to sweat if using this panel with the gateway; the gateway itself is hard to open and the panel connectors are tiny meaning they can be damaged if not handled correctly (not to mention the hefty damage fees!); this process is not for the faint-of-heart or for those who are less tech-savvy- Be prepared to pay a lot of money for this; in my case, it was worth it, but hopefully this will get discounted in the future so everybody can afford it- Use the positioning tool on the T-Mobile Internet app to determine where to put the panel; once I put the panel on the outside wall facing that location, everything worked perfectly (CellMapper was not helpful in my case)- To access the T-Mobile Internet positioning tool, follow these steps:1. On the Home screen, click “More about connection quality”2. Choose the “Launch placement assistant” option3. Choose “Skip Video” after pressing “OK! Let’s do this”4. For best results, use the “Share location” option; this will allow you to use the camera to get a better idea of where the 5G signal is coming from5. Choose the Camera option on the “Signal direction results” menu; the phone will then show you a fancy pink wave indicator indicating the position of the 5G signal; this is roughly where you will want the panel to be

This is a high quality antenna. I live in the country and have limited options for internet. T-Mobile home internet recently became available in my area, but living several miles from the city, the coverage with the Sagemcom modem with no antennas resulted in very mixed performance results. Living a few miles outside of town, I do not get the n71 (2.5GHz) 5G bands, but I do reliably get connected to the n41 (600 MHz) bands. This antenna has not significantly increased the number of bars that I receive, but the quality of my internet connection is much better. The Sagemcom modem regularly shows 3 bars, but occasionally dips to 2 bars. This is during the summer with full foliage on the trees. I expect that my signal might improve in the winter when the trees drop all of their leaves.Download speeds went from 50-150 mbps, to a fairly stable 150-200mbps. Upload speeds went from 1-4mbps, all the way up to 20-30mbps. Latency and jitter were also improved, but this is still a wireless connection, so there is going to be more latency than a wire/fiber to the home connection. These are not fantastic numbers by any stretch of the imagination, but considering that I am moving up from $150/mo DSL which was 30mbps down, and 2mps up, these improved speeds are fantastic! Wireless internet is not my ideal home internet connection, but for $50/mo, T-Mobile internet will save me a bunch of money in the long run.Installation of the antenna was straight forward and was as easy to install as other antennas I have installed for TV and ham radio, just with more coax connections. Aiming took a little playing around with as the T-Mobile app only gives you a general direction on where to place the router, not specific coordinates where the tower is located for aiming an antenna like this.My only complaint about the antenna is that it is expensive. You get what you pay for, so the expense is a negative, but its performance speaks for itself.Instead of purchasing the $400 kit, I pieced together my own UFL connectors and coax runs, and I already had a mount on my roof that I could attach the antenna to. Only advice for the coax is that you should order the shortest run that will complete the connection as longer coax will degrade the signal.(1) UFL 4-pack of Connectors: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074RJ1RXP(4) Coax runs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09XMF4M18

We live in the country in a bit of a valley in a brick home. Not much available in the way of internet access outside of very slow DSL or T-Mobile Home Internet. Given the advertised speeds of the T-Mobile option, we decided to go that route, but could never get great signal with the in-house router provided by T-Mobile given our location. While this antenna is expensive, we went from 2-3 Mbps down and 0.5 up to 200 down and 10 up! 10-20x improvement and significantly more consistent and reliable signal.Just a warning, you will have to violate all warranty on your router as you disassemble it to attach the antennas, so this is not for the faint of heart! I believe this is a bit overpriced for what it is, but as the only good option, it was well worth the money spent.Installation was simple. I installed on a pole attached to my roof to gain additional height and routed the wires through my attic to the router. Took about 1.5 hours overall. The provided cable is a bit on the short side (30′) so I had to move my router from the original place I had positioned it, but it works very well overall.Installation instructions are clear and the company provides multiple options for call and text-based help, including a map of towers so you know where to point the thing. They have contacted me multiple times to see how the installation has gone (I filled out the provided tech support QR code they give as a “if you need help” option). Seems to be excellent customer service and the product just works. It would be nice if T-Mobile just made an outdoor version of their router, but until they do, this really is your best bet. Highly recommend!

First, this thing works – it does, plain and simple. IT Systems Engineer of 25 years and I approve, but for the life of me, I cannot get my upload speeds to come to life, albeit they are double what they were before the installation.I live in Central, Ky in the middle of a nature preserve, and as you might guess fiber and cable are nowhere near. Somehow we did manage to get hardline Teleco via Windstream and as you might also guess, its absolute garbage. 50mb DSL is it and it only works half the time and we have a business account that costs me $150 a month. I’m not cheap, I’d pay 300 a month if they’d bring me fiber (they said no), it’s never going to happen. So the wife and I opted for a dual wan feed from T-Mobile and Starlink. I was having to wait on Starlink availability (which recently happened for Kentucky). So I have ordered that, hasn’t made it yet, but I went down and got T-Mobile the day we decided. They were like man, your fairly close to a tower, you should have wicked service. Excited I get home, and I get a measly download not much better than the DSL, and an upload that was 4 times worse, about 2-3 MB respectively.I tried everywhere, putting the device in every window of the house but no luck. So I ended up using it as backup to the DSL since the geniuses at Sagecom decided not to put external antennas on this. So long story short, I stumbled upon this antenna one day and said why not, ‘ll give it a whirl. Immediately I knew it was going to make the service better. So I targeted the best download rates I could get and set the antenna there. My download speed is now ASTRONOMICAL! and my upload speed is double although still sucking. I’ve seen it hit 10mb once, but never again. Now if I can find some piece of information to help me tackle this upload problem I will be ecstatic with the quality of this device.

Waveform has very easy to follow instructions/photos to connect this antenna to my internet gateway device. I connected the 4×4 antenna to a 5G router for home internet (supplied by the cell phone company) a little more than a month ago and have consistently seen download speeds double. I am working on getting a better/more robust gateway device from my cell phone provider (they are not as good to work with customer service wise) and expect to see speeds increase further when I do. I am currently getting download speeds in the 80-120 mbps range. Upload speeds have increased by a greater % to around 15 mbps. The antenna itself is smaller and less obtrusive than any of the current satellite dish antennas, nothing would be an improvement on the aesthetics of my home but this is the best looking one I have seen.Dialing in the strongest signal is simple, a little time consuming but simple. I recommend having two people for this part; one to hold the antenna and one to check the speeds. So far this has been a huge improvement in my service and has saved me money from going with Starlink given the lower cost of the Waveform antenna and the lower cost of the 5G service.I do have some trees blocking a clear line of sight to the 5G antenna but this antenna seems to be “seeing” right through them.

I recently moved into a new home where I needed to use 5G cellular service for my home internet. My speeds were very inconsistent. I work from home and need to be able to rely on my connection for video calls and of course entertainment.Sometimes my speeds would be fine, and other times my signal strength would allow me to have a video call. It became unsustainable and I needed a new solution. After installing this antenna, my speeds stayed consistent and I haven’t had issues like I had before. This solution allowed me to reliably work from home.As for installation, in my case, installing on a second story roof was a bit dicey. It’s not an easy install in my case but the guys here we’re always eager to help and proactively reached out regularly via text to see what they could do to assist.Overall, I heartily recommend the product. If you aren’t highly confident in your installation capabilities you may want to hire someone for the install but overall I love the product and it solved my issue!

This antenna has been a godsend. When T-Mobile rolled out N41 in my area, my 5G TMHI became a nightmare. On N41, I could typically get tolerable download speeds, but I have 7 Nest cams constantly uploading and I need to be able to VPN into work without a painful lag, so I really need decent/stable upload speed which was non-existent. I must be in some sort of purgatory spot where the trash can wants to connect to N41 when it shouldn’t, so I tried tricking it back to N71 with very inconsistent success (i.e. obscuring the line-of-sight to the tower so it would fail back to N71).After teetering on the edge of calling it quits and ordering Starlink, I decided to give the 4×4 MIMO a try since it’s less expensive than dishy. My plan was to use the antenna to force N71 via some fiddling I saw on a youtube video, and if that didn’t work, I’d return the 4×4 MIMO and order Starlink. Long story short, the antenna boosted my N41 signal considerably so I didn’t pursue forcing N71.Here are some rough speeds pre/post antenna on N71/N41:Pre-antenna N71: ping~40ms; >100Mbps down; >20Mbps upPre-antenna N41: terrible across the board – if I could do a speedtest successfully, the ping was >800ms; down may be ok; up was worse than dial-upPost-antenna N41: ping ~32ms; >150Mbps down; ~15Mbps up — and this has been very consistent – I’ve gone as high as 250Mbps down, but 150 is probably closer to the averagePost-antenna N71: didn’t pursueI should also mention that I didn’t permanently install the MIMO antenna yet. It’s sitting next to the trash can pointing out my workshop window which has a low-e coating or something that attenuates the signal. What I’m trying to say is that I have seen incredible results with almost no effort and much room for further improvement. Also worth mentioning is that the N71 speeds I was seeing before the antenna were on a downward trend as T-Mobile brought more customers online in my area. That’s part of the reason I opted to stick with the improved N41 rather than trying to force N71 after getting the antenna. The Amazon listing probably mentions this somewhere, but the support folks at Waveform are fantastic. If you provide your address, they do a deep dive to figure out where your tower is and recommend the best orientation as well as the best mounting location on your property. If you aren’t familiar with cellmapper.net, this is absolutely critical, because the best antenna in the world isn’t going to do any good if it’s not pointed where it needs to be, and trial and error can be very frustrating. Even a few degrees can make a big difference.I considered buying this months ago, and I have been kicking myself for not pulling the trigger. If you’re on the fence, jump off and do it. I can guarantee you will not regret it.P.S. – read the install instructions carefully. The 4 little antenna cables are difficult/frustrating to attach (like extremely difficult), and I didn’t feed them through the bottom grate that you have to take off (and then put back on). Upon reassembly, my impatience got the best of me, so rather than go through connecting those 4 wires again, I just cut a hole in the grate with a Dremel and fed them through backwards. T-Mobile will probably rake me over the coals for that when I eventually have to return the trash can…I’m hoping that’s not anytime soon. And for the record – the difficulty is a function of the trash can design – not something Waveform has any control over. Thanks, Waveform!!!

The Waveform antennae provided a big boost to my T-Mobile home Internet. It doesn’t always provide faster speeds (it sometimes does), but more importantly it provides consistency in connection. We live out in the country and so our signal is weak. It’s an expensive purchase but worth the money if you’re struggling to get a good, consistent connection with cellular internet.I have had to interact with their team on a couple of installation/troubleshooting issues and this is really the best part of the company. They respond quickly and offer a lot of ways to get in touch. They are knowledgeable and you really get the feeling they are both proud of their product and want you to get the best Internet signal you can. It’s sometimes hard to find companies that stand behind their product, but Waveform definitely does.

Just look at the before and after. I work from home and need reliable Internet for the interminable zoom calls I’m on. I have cable, but it’s been less and less reliable the last year. My Unifi network allows for two ISPs so I added cellular as a backup as part of my normal cell phone plan. With T-mobile, that’s adding their Home Internet Gateway – specifically choose the G4AR gateway, as it allows for external antennae. From the Speedtest image, you can see my Cable (in the middle) is decent. But whenever it hiccups, I can be down for a couple minutes. In sales and as a work from home, there’s no excuse for dropping during a sales demonstration. So, having a robust backup was necessary for me. You can see the upload speed on the cell gateway’s internal antennae was just giving me the absolute minimum for screen sharing with several simultaneous video feeds. After putting the Waveform antenna outside in a good location, the service it provides is way more than adequate. The box comes with all the instructions you need to locate the antenna and even aim it the most optimal direction. This is important because I had ideas of where my closest tower was, but the instructions suggested something completely different that had both a better signal and selection of cell bands. Crucially, the alternate location had 5G service, where the one I was originally trying did not. All of this information makes an already great product perform all the better for preventing me from installing it incorrectly. If your cellular internet isn’t quite what you think it should be, this is the method to give it it’s best chance at solid performance.

We cancelled our DSL service due to an outage and horrible customer service. As a result, we decided to try T-mobile 5G Home Internet. Installation of the gateway was easy as can be, BUT our download and upload speeds were horrible (less than 20 Mbps and 0.5 Mbps respectively on a good day) no matter where we placed the device inside the home. We did, however, find that when placed near an open window speeds improved somewhat. Seems the low E glass coating on the windows impeded the signal appreciably. We read the reviews on the Waveform MIMO 4X4 antenna and decided to give it a try. After installing the antenna in one of the locations suggested by tech support, we boosted our 5G signal by about 30 to 50 fold! My son now has no complaints about his online gaming. My only gripe is with the mounting plate which connects the antenna to the pole which is supplied in the kit. We found that the Adalov Universal Wall/Pole Mounting Bracket, also on Amazon, made for a perfect, secure installation. In closing, the customer service is superb.! We were contacted after purchase to help with any questions we might have and also after we had finished our installation to see if we were satisfied. It’s hard to find a company these days with that kind of consideration for their customers.
