Ring is a good company and their cameras are effective. These Ring Camera Floodlights are great. The light is bright, the Alexa connectivity works great, and the motion sensing works well. I have them all around my house and garage, and I cover every inch around the perimeter of my home. Ring support is great. I’ve had problems with my cameras and Ring support did a great job troubleshooting and eventually replacing a few of my cameras when they went bad with their extended support that comes with being a paid subscription Ring customer. The quality of the picture is great and I was able to install all of the camera’s myself. I consider myself a very capable DIY’er and these were no problem to wire and install. Highly recommended. One unintended benefit are the nature videos that the Ring cameras provide. I live near a park in the middle of a major city, and very often my Ring cameras will catch foxes, rabbits, raccoons, opossums, and other animals as they traverse my yard during the overnight hours. I never suspected that the animals were as active as they are. I also was able to help my local police department when there was a break-in in my neighborhood and one of my cameras captured a suspicious individual as he passed by my home. But you have to remember, these cameras are deterrents and don’t always stop crime from occurring. Someone stole the catalytic converter from my car as it was parked in my driveway right under a Ring camera at 3am. The only thing that the camera did was record the 3 minutes that it took the thief to steal my catalytic converter and when the motion lights came on, it made it easier for him to see. At one point he looked dead into the camera, but since he was wearing a ski mask, the police were still not able to identify him… But at least I had the evidence. Oh well. Just know the camera’s limits and don’t expect them to stop most thieves if they’re properly motivated.

I’ve got two installed on my house. They mostly work well. There’s some bugs though. 1) The lights come on and off all the time, for no apparent reason whatsoever. Haven’t been able to fix that.2) There’s some kind of bug in them that turns the video recording on long after the zone is penetrated. It’s set to trigger at the end of my driveway and does, but the recording doesn’t start for something like 10 seconds later. So, I get great footage of the last half of my car pulling into the garage. It’s really not okay! I’ve had several occasions where a person who’s been stalking my house has been recorded, but they’ve already come over 80 feet up the driveway before the video begins. Only a small portion of their car is shown and the damage is already in progress. It’s because of this person that I installed the ring cameras! Epic fail3) wind, rain, snow, hail, wind, and birds all trigger this thing. So do squirrels and cats. But apparently a car doesn’t cause it to react the same.Love the app feature though and the ability to use and view from anywhere. The product is relatively easy to install and well put together.Good enough for low threat applications and easy enough to use.

I don’t leave a lot of reviews. This camera is the exception. It was easy to install. I bought two. The first one on the garage took about 25 minutes mostly because the old light didn’t want to come down and i had to get a drimmel out. The second i put on my pond took about 15. I”m no electrician but i have wired some outlets and fans. It’s 3 wires you will figure it out. Setup was easy after it was installed. The video is great. The motion detection is great. You can adjust it to fit your space. I have a walking path right by the driveway and I’ve had two false alarms in a month. Out back i have a hot tub. I can sit in the hot tub and it doesn’t go off unless i stand up or make some other movement. These things are awesome. I would buy more but my house is covered. These are night photos it’s really good!

This Ring product is an amazing value for what it’s capable of. It’s motion avtivated, video quality is excellent, and it even allows you to talk to the intruder or automatically warns them that they are being videotaped. The lights are extremely powerful and literally light up the place up like Fort Knoxx. It even activates a very loud siren if you choose that option as an additional deterrent. It is very user friendly and easy to set up. If intruders were to come close to it and knock it down with a stick, it will still record them long before they get close to it and identify them as an object or a person that can be used with the police department to make an arrest. You can also choose that it notifies the police department upon anything that activates it. This is a good feature for when you go away for the weekend.Video playback can be adjusted to zoom in to a particular area or show a very wide angle of coverage. The 240° field of view covers a very large area. I would suggest mounting it in an area that covers the rear and sides of your home (including the garage) where most intruders enter. It can even be mounted to a tree to give you a better angle of all corners of your home if you have power at that location and it is within Wi-Fi distance of your residence. If not, two cameras can be installed and operate in tandom. Overall, it’s an incredible value and I plan on buying additional accessories to complete my security system at home and Business. It even has a community feature without disclosing your name that allows you to alert and receive notifications of your neighbors devices. This morning I got a notification that there was an intruder checking out cars in driveways in the immediate area. It has three settings that allow you to disarm it completely during the day and can be easily switched to home or away via your cell phone app for when you forget to arm it or you’re inside the home at night time. You can arm it remotely when you are away if you forget to arm it at home. If you have an “indoor camera” in your home you can disarm the motion activation feature so it doesn’t pick up every movement when you walk around the house at night while the rest of your system remains on. When you’re away, the indoor camera/speaker function also gives you the ability to check on your pets and even talk to them through the speaker intercom built into the unit. Obviously, I can’t say enough about how satisfied I am with this purchase. For the money, I highly recommend this product.

Our house was broken into New Years Eve while we were away visiting our daughter. Our house is alarmed, but that didn’t stop them from breaking in and a quick snatch of items from our bedroom. Now we have Ring Stick Up Cam Plug-In, 2 Ring Floodlight Cam Wired, doorbell Ring, and Dusk to Dawn LED Light Bulbs. That might sound like over-kill to some of you, but our sense of security is worth it. Now we get notifications on our celphones and Alexa whenever someone is in our yard, anywhere in our yard. We looked into having cameras from a security company installed, they recommended 5 cameras at a cost of $3,200.00 What we’ve done ourselves, including self instalation, is just as secure as what the security company would have done and cost us much much less.

The Ring Customer service agent mislead me into thinking that I didn’t need any other attachment with my 3 floodlight wired cameras which finally cost extra money per cameras. I am glad I got these wall attachments first before I hired the people to put them together and the attach them to my wall and electrical wall units. BTW don’t hire electricians they cost too much so get a maintenance man to do it that can climb in your roof!!! Also there is a mi red reset button on top of the unit that you have to press if you have wifi issues each time and that means climbing up a huge latter each time when needed which is a royal pain in the A**. And be prepared to have to buy a strong router extender for your outdoor cameras because they are far from the main wifi unit. That will cost you extra $$$. Don’t use the 5G with your wifi settings. Also the camera itself doesn’t move much once installed under your gutters so make sure the maintenance people don’t leave with the latter until you can actually see the camera on the street or yard left and right fields correctly. It is only 180° NOT 360° left and right NOT up down motion only. Also make sure they remove the plastic camera shield before they leave so you get a clear picture or it will be blurry. There are ways to plug your cameras on your garage door opener BOX if needed and don’t be fooled as you don’t need a new breaker box for it either. The electrician estimate was $3500 so I refused it! Instead I paid $400 for 3 cameras installed with a maintenance crew. Good luck!
