This is a good kit for completing a clean car audio installation. Heavy gauge power wire. All wires in the kit are very good quality. Very flexible and easy to pull through tight spots. Sound quality is perfect. Very happy with the kit and would buy again in the future. Hope this helps!

I’ve always used one of my local audiophile stores to get me up and running. No, not Best Buy or a place like that but a true audiophile store that uses oscilloscopes and what not. Anyway, I decided to add some bump to my daily (2008 Honda Accord non Navi) and decided to give this kit a shot. This is a great kit for the price but I wish the power wire was a little longer. I like how flexible the wire is which makes running through fire walls and through trim much easier. Speaker wire needs an upgrade in this kit too. Still, you can’t beat the price for what you get.

This is for the 1/0 kit. The wire is very flexible, comes with a 3/8″ ring terminal crimped & heat shrinked to both positive/negative wires. The spare ring terminals are throw away items, so are the rubber boots they give you. I ended up using all of the flex loom, that was nice to have and perfectly sized for the 1/0. The speaker wire and the turn on conductor are also very flexible, though a little thin for my taste. I did use the turn on wire since it really doesn’t pull any amperage. I bought some generic ferrule kits off Amazon, wire fit nicely inside the 1/0 ferrule without having to twist it. Twisting actually makes it fatter, counter-intuitive to what you think it does.I’ve seen older reviews of these kits saying Skar used to provide under-sized wires. The wire in this kit seems similar to other 1/0 remnants I have lying around and I have no complaints about the strand count or jacket thickness.I installed this kit in a 2024 Ram 1500, through the factory boot to behind the rear seat on the passenger side. I used all the wire available. I probably used a foot extra under the hood trying to get the fuse in a decent spot to mount. All of these kits need to come with 21ft.The ground wire was adequate in length, I maybe cut off 7-8″ extra.The fuse holder is pretty generic, and identical plastic shell as what comes in other “cheap” wiring kits. This one just happens to have Skar painted on the top. FYI, the terminals inside have a set screw for the fuse on the top, and the conductor set screw on one side. It uses the exact same terminal for both ends so one terminal ends up with a conductor set screw facing to the right and the other facing to the left. That might block access to screw the wire in so plan on that before securing the housing somewhere so you aren’t blocking the set screw.I did not use the RCA cable. The jacketing looks a little thin. I needed 4 channels anyway so I re-used some Streetwires RCA I had extra from a previous project.I was mainly needing the main power wire and fuse out of this kit.

Everything I needed was there. Didn’t use the speaker wire. Had to order the KISL2 Line out converter for my OEM radio so I could hookup the RCA cables. All cables were plenty long except the ground wire, which must be short so no fault of Skar. Cables were easy to work with and surprisingly flexible. Hardest part was removing trim to run the thick cable to the back of the car. I didn’t like how Skar used multiple sizes of Allen wrench for their terminals. I think I used three different sizes. At this price they could have provided a three way Allen wrench and saved on the ridiculous packaging it comes in. It looks nice but it goes right to the landfill. There are no instructions included fyi. I didn’t need them but there could be safety issues. The ground wire is located inside the black corrugated protective sheathing, it’s not missing! Overall satisfied and everything worked well. Installed to an 07 CRV. Nice.

This kit was perfect for my installation. I have two complaints: first, the ground wire at 3 feet is way too short for any real application, and then you can only order an extra length of ground wire. Second: the wire loom and the wire connectors are cheap, they do not hold up well and were not used in my installation due to this. Also, the wire is silver, it is listed as OFC and is silicone wrapped but the wire is not copper color as stated rather it is silver.
