I’ve been using the iOttie One Touch since the 3rd version came out many years ago. They are fantastic. Easy to set up, stable, and in the Texas heat with a black interior, they last surprisingly long. I get about two years out of each one before the suction cup fails. Up until now, I’ve never had any interaction with their customer service because I’ve never needed to. The product just works as intended out of the box for multiple years in the harshest conditions you can reasonably expect to put a phone mount through outside of some kind of extreme sport something or other.This time, though, I dropped the screw that connects the suction arm and the mount arm and my car ate it; vanished without a trace. Totally my fault, nothing to do with iOttie. I emailed their customer service to see if I could just buy the screw or if I needed to buy the whole thing again. They said “no worries, just submit a warranty claim.” Even though “I lost a part” isn’t normally covered under a manufacturer defect warranty. So I did. Got the part maybe three days later. It was the wrong screw. Now I’m in a bit of a pickle. They did me a favor by warrantying a part that I lost when they didn’t need to. But they sent the wrong part. Can I really be annoyed at a mistake in a gratis replacement? So I shot them another email explaining the issue. They said “no worries, we’ll send you a new screw, the right one this time.” About three days later, I get a whole new unit. Straight-up replacement. That’s fantastic customer service.

It’s been 2 weeks. The phone doesn’t jiggle hardly at all when I’m driving, a wire management tab on the back is way more helpful than I thought it would be, and nothing has broken on me yet! I strongly recommend you stick it to your dashboard and not your window because it has a glue on the bottom and yes, this is the kind that’s going to leave a residue on your dashboard. I really wanted to avoid that kind, but this is honestly the best car phone holder I’ve ever had out of the four I’ve tried so I don’t regret it. I’ll deal with getting the glue off if I ever have to move it.

This phone mount has a simple, easy to use, design that just works how it should. It stays in place very well, doesn’t move around too much, and is easy to get my phone in and out of. The way that the clasps snap into place is very satisfying and makes me sure my phone won’t fall out.One word of advice though, make sure you get the location right for where you want to place it the first time. The sticky pad is the best surface to attach it to, and there is no removing it and replacing in–it is just too sticky for that. Which is a good thing, but just get it right the first time.So overall, this product is really great!

I have not done much more than set this up, but so far it seems mostly great. However the plate for mounting to the dashboard doesn’t stick AT ALL. The mount fell down immediately after I set it up because the plate detached from the dashboard. The “sticky” material that is supposed to stick to the dashboard is barely even sticky to the touch. Fortunately, the suction cup is strong and was able to securely suction directly to the dashboard. Hopefully it holds long-term. The mechanism to auto-grip your phone works well and I am very happy with it. The cord clip on the back is a nice thought, but it’s too out-of-the-way to be practical for regular use so I’ll probably just be draping my cable over the mount between uses. If the suction cup holds long-term then I’d give this 5 stars, but since the intended mechanism for dashboard mounting is pathetically ineffective I took off a star.

This is my favorite cell phone holder. I love the one touch for it to clamp down on the phone and the levers to open the clamps. When it clamps down, it really has a nice grip on the phone. The only thing I would change is the vent clip. On vertical installs it sometime slides off. Other brands make a hook that hooks the back of the vent and this is a much better design. Personally I am using another brands vent clip and this cell phone holder.

This iOttie cell phone mount seems to work pretty well so far. I like its versatility to work with many different phones and sizes. The suction cup holds the mount very well to a windshield. It seems to have a thin coating of a gel like substance that helps it seal better to smooth and maybe not so smooth surfaces. The length of the boom is adjustable which works well with windshields that are highly sloped. The side clamps hold the phone very securely. The biggest problem I have is that the complements are not stiff enough which allows the loaded mount to shake quite a bit while driving. Its not terrible, but is annoying. For the price, i consider this mount to be a good value and would recommend it for most general uses. If you need a really sturdy and highly customizable mount, look at RAM Mounts.

I’ve owned 3 of these phone holders from iOttie now in 3 difference cars. This specific model is the most recent innovation of the device. Amazingly it was the cheapest on Amazon, at $20 for me when I purchased it a month ago.It’s lighter and much more refined than the older one, which I’ve owned multiple of. It feels higher quality and there’s no play in the joints/hinges/springs/buttons. Everything moves when told, and moves with purpose. It’s solid and I really appreciate this over the previous edition.The phone cable holder is FINALLY integrated INTO THE PRODUCT. It doesn’t use a silly adhesive magnet that they expect you to install on the device and your cable any longer. Just a simple rubber bushing to slot the cable into, however works best for you.It comes with an adhesive circular base plate to stick onto your dash, which the sticky suction cup is supposed to hold onto, but the base plate actually did not work with the old hard “leather” in my 2006 focus. Instead, I put the suction cup directly onto the dash and it hasn’t moved once. This is something I attempted with the older model, only for the suction cup to be too weak to hold onto the surface without the base plate installed first. I’m amazed how much nicer this is for the price and it was perfect for me.

I have always hated using phone holders in the car because either getting my phone into it, out of it, or both is super awkward and difficult and annoying… let alone if I need to plug it into the charger, or tilt it to avoid glare or something. But!! After searching everywhere, and reading and watching loads of reviews… I found one that works. This really does work. I have a fully loaded “wallet” phone case on an iphone 11/12, and I can literally just shove my phone straight back onto this holder and the holder snaps into place around it. When I want to remove the phone, all I have to do is grab these two prongs (one on each side) near the bottom of the holder and push them inward toward the phone till I feel a click, and the phone releases from the holder. I don’t have to worry about being precise or getting an angle just right with either of these things. And if I want to plug a charger in (or unplug) it’s easy to do that while the phone is in the holder. I do it all the time now just because I can. I’m so happy now! Things are finally coming together for me – 2024 is gonna be my year!
