I’ve tried 5 of these wireless CarPlay devices. This one works the best and is the simplest to install. The latency when changing tracks exists, but is minimal. It auto connects when I get in the car and is usually ready to play by the time I push the start button. It also stays connected and has no issues that I’ve come across. I also like that as it starts the display it provides on the car screen is pleasant enough (I tried another brand where it looked like a bunch of code on the screen, which was jarring). I use a sideways USB adapter that lets it mount flush and makes it easier to hide away (I can’t even see that it’s in the car).

I did not have high expectations for this product. It was marketed to me by Amazon at a deeply discounted price and so, after procrastinating for a while, I finally bought it. I use it with an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Kenwood DDX6706S aftermarket CarPlay stereo deck in my car, and it has worked flawlessly from the moment I plugged it in (about a week). Setup was really easy; you choose the adapter under Bluetooth on your phone, just like you would for a set of headphones or any other Bluetooth device, and CarPlay simply begins working. Firmware update is also easy by following the instructions included in the box, and doing so actually added a few features. I have one major critique: the one and only LED indicator is too bright, and for some reason it blinks the entire time you’re using it. You’ll want to either cover that light with tape or mount it so that the light is hidden. Otherwise, this product seems really well-made and I honestly just didn’t expect quality at this price point; I expected finicky performance, time wasted troubleshooting, and a headache. What I got instead was the kind of plug-and-play simplicity we pay lots of money for, and I’m very happy.Pros:-An affordable upgrade to an existing wired CarPlay system.-Works surprisingly well.-Easy setup.-Minimal bulk.Cons:-The LED indicator is too bright and it blinks annoyingly while the adapter is connected. This is very distracting at night.Notes for improvement:-The device appears under Bluetooth and WiFi as a default factory-created name. I would like to be able to change and customize these names.-I would like the ability to dim and/or disable the LED.

This works great. Plugged it in and connected with the steps the first time and now it auto-connects every time I get in my car. Sometimes before. It connects once it has power, and power goes to my ports when I unlock my car with the fob. So if I haven’t put my keys in after about 15 seconds it’ll unpause music on my phone and play from there. A bit annoying but it’s only happened once. One of the only other problem I’ve had is sometimes the screen won’t transition to CarPlay. I give it a little refresh by putting my car in reverse so it switches to my review camera, and when I go back to park or drive it shows CarPlay. I really can’t complain though, it connects pretty quickly and I don’t have to think about it when I get in the car. Far and away better than plugging in my cable every time. Only other problem is when I skip tracks on my steering wheel it takes about a full 1-mississippi to actually skip on my phone. That doesn’t bother me that much, though. Unfortunately it also seems to be a pretty universal experience across the wireless CarPlay devices. I put value for money at 3/5 stars because I just think all of these things are overpriced. But this one is as solid as any other quality choice.
