Wow this is a great little alarm, very loud, so loud it will wake the dead who will be very angry that you disturbed their RIP, that’s how loud it is. I purchased 2 of these and installed them on our eBikes, under the seat, see photo.When you press the activate button on the remote you hear a brief 1 sec melody that it’s initiating, then after about 2 seconds you hear one beep letting you know it’s activated and ready. If it’s bumped or otherwise senses motion two loud beeps sound as a warning, and if it’s bumped or moved again then the alarm wails extremely loud for about 30 seconds, then stops. Or if it continues to sense motion then the loud alarm sound wails continuously until it senses no motion at which time it stops.The alarm requires 3 AAA batteries and the remote requires one 12V/27A small cylindrical battery. The instructions are really bad, but some reviewers explain more clearly how to operate this alarm. Regardless, it’s a great little alarm that is ear-splitting LOUD! So I purchased a 3rd one for our RV travel trailer entry door (mounted on inside of door, still very loud from outside, will definitely make its presence known).Yeah I really like this Super Duper Ear-Splitting LOUD Alarm!

I came to this purchase one week too late. Thieves nicked my seat, lights, and a bike rack I loved.I lock my bike in my basement in a NYC brownstone.I live in Harlem. Lot of bike thieves and crackheads find ways into buildings or residents themselves steal your stuff.If I would have had this baby. No way. The whole building would hear. No joke. The walls are cement, and the high pitch sound resonates at a deafening tone. Even if no one were around, the would be thief would actually get ear damage taking the time to work out my locks. I myself hurt my ears just setting up the device. Wow.Ive set it to the highest sensitivity. If a spider farts it goes off. Love it.Oddly, now my concern is hurting someone’s ears or waking the building up if it goes off.I’m on the 5th floor. And yes, I hear it.I bought a bike stand to go with it. I couldn’t have any accidental tips or falls just from placing it on the wall, I used to do that and the bike would often shift. So, I feel I have a really good set up now. Stable. So any movement of the bike is 99% intentional.Lets assume a ridiculous scenario: I turn on the alarm, but I only place it on my seat. No ties or stick tape. Can the thief still get to my bike? Well, sure. But not before he sets off the alarm and I hear it. Plus, then what…. the alarm is going off, where’s he going to put it? Needs a bucket of water to place it in.So… there. The only way I see to defeat this device is with another key. A hacked signal or some other Jason Bourne shit. You need a bucket of water. Owner has to arm the alarm, but not attach it to bike. Then thief has bucket of water ready to go, gentle moves alarm into bucket of water. Have I thought this out too much?My point. The alarm will trip even if the thief tries to remove the device, even if the thief knows its there ahead of time.Said thieves would have to sound proof the area some how. Its that loud. Especially in an enclosed area.Ive only had it for a couple days now….. So I dont have time on my side as far as a long run record. We’ll see. I feel like Ive spent the best $17 on protection for my $1000 plus bike.Even if this alarm broke every 6 months. I would still replace it with another. Its that cost effective.I cannot speak for longevity…. so thats an if. I hope all the hardware and software holds up.So far so good. I sleep better at night. And besides. Its pretty BOSS. Walking up to my bike and hitting an arm or disarm key. Its fun.Pros:Solid simple constructionCost effectiveEasy installVaried sensitivity and volume….It works!LOUD!Cons:Im unsure of battery life, and I dont know if it warns of low battery.Id assume alarm is best for places where your bike isn’t getting jostled by other people sharing a bike rack or mount.Id hate to F with the innocent, with a sonic blast, cause a heart attack. Sensitivity settings may assist here?Size? Its a little on the big side. It ruins a ‘clean look’ on a sleek bike.Hiding it could be an issue unless you had a bike rack(underneath). I wouldn’t want it inside anything.I’m thinking of buying another just for the bike rack alone…. and maybe one more to put on the milk in the fridge.To give my roommates late night milk cravings a freak.Ill update in a few. So, as the title says, Im not using this for anti theft purposes but will review it a little anyways. I had stumbled across this while searching for wireless horns and being a little desperate, figured I’d give this a go. Now, before anyone yells at me and says I am being mean, let me explain that this person snores so loud I can hear it through two doors, a wall and my little radio. Its very obnoxious, it goes on almost all night and I put up with it for almost three years until I said no more!! I was even nice at first and muted the bell a little with cotton so it wasn’t overly loud, but after a month of testing, the person literally slept through it and the horn had little to no affect; about a success rate of about 15% (this is calculated based on whether the snoring stops in relation to the button being pressed per night). SO, I took the cotton out, put it back in the box (to keep the decibels reasonable) and moved it a bit closer to target area. After testing for about another month, its been working approximately 85% of the time – While not perfect results, I am still truly thankful for the amount of success period!! I’ve even noticed that because I’ve been doing this consistently, the person coughs significantly less during the day (another annoying habit of theirs which I am positive is directly attributed to their chronic snoring).A few things about this item. If you’re wondering how loud it is, its very comparable to a smoke alarm but slightly louder. If I were walking casually next to a bike and this went off, I would probably jump a few feet in the air. It will definitely get your attention for sure, no doubt about it.The alarm itself is difficult to open, but I imagine that is on purpose by design. All I would say about this is that the company gives you a plastic tool similar to a guitar pic to open; that should be replaced with an aluminum tool. The plastic one gets destroyed almost immediately and rendered useless.The batteries seem to be lasting quite awhile and Imagine they will for several months (I use this constantly so I am the best case scenario for testing that feature). My guess is that the remote will last about as long as your car remote before having to replace the button cell. The alarm batteries in the unit (3x triple A’s) will probably last even longer.I can’t complain about functionality too much, because I am using this for something completely unrelated for its intended use, but I do wish it was more direct and simple. I hate cycling through buttons to set features, and I to be honest I haven’t even bothered because of it. That being said, it would be interesting if this company simplified a unit made to be a horn only model, perhaps similar to a bell on a bike to alert people. Although I don’t really see that catching on.The price of this initially I thought was kind of expensive (keep in mind I am kinda poor though) especially because it was an investment that I didn’t even know would work or not, but because of how much success I’ve had, I would easily buy another as it has been totally worth it. I can almost even see this being useful for anti theft around the house or if you wanted to scare someone off for following you etc. So while this is being used for something different, I still feel like the overall goal has been achieved; which is to make annoying people stop what they are doing. I can’t test this product thoroughly, and am still in the process of testing longevity, but so far I give it 4 stars.

I bought this a couple years ago and still have it installed on the bike. The range of the remote is great, the sound is loud enough, and the battery life is amazing. I change the batteries yearly. The device is solely a deterrent and is not loud enough to really scare anyone off. But it’s enough to grab my attention if I’m even remotely close. I use this in combination with a turning wheel lock and disc brake lock.

Tiene un buen sonido y resiste al agua sin problema al lavarla la moto, la etiqueta de pegamento que tiene es muy buena, la pegue en el exterior de una moto y hasta el momento no se ha caído, ya tengo varios meses usándolo y hasta el momento no he tenido que cambiarle ninguna batería, también es muy sensible al movimiento

Scare Away/ Slow Down Bike Thieve’s Device
On opening up the alarm to try out the batteries and the device, I had a concern. The screw seemed really cheap, as did the screw driver. I was worried about stripping the screw itself or the plastic. But I used my own Phillips screw driver and gently got that screw out to proceed to the next step of opening up the alarm box. They give you a plastic device that looks like a guitar pick and that was useless in trying to open up the alarm box. I got two slot head screw drivers and used those to wedge away at the tightly sealed plastic. I ended up chipping the plastic a bit opening up the two halves.Next, was installing the three triple A batteries. They looked real cheap, so I threw those away and used high quality batteries I purchased separately. The batteries installed securely. Everything looked intact inside, so I put the alarm box together again to try it out.Next, was trying to read the very, very small print instructions with my big magnifying glass. I gave up on that and went to You Tube to find instructions there and I did. So I slowly went through setting up the remote control’s three buttons. That went well and discovered, an excellent bike horn. The seven different high pitched alarm to chose from in pitch and the three different types of noise was a perfect deterrent noise.I don’t get my new e-bike until May and can’t install/ try it out until then. But I’ll install the alarm with the tie wraps and the two-sided stickers provided. The location will be under my seat in the posterior direction to keep it drier.Once you activate your alarm, by the remote button. The first disturbance (dependent on sensitivity setting you chose. I suggest the 4th level) your alarm sounds a warning short beep. On the SECOND disturbance of your bike, then the continued alarming begins. The noise definitely will attract onlookers and annoy your bike thief. This remote is effective for 60 feet away. My Apple Air Tag will be located under the bike seat, just inches away from this alarm – under black Gorilla Tape. The remote control will be located by my right thumb on the handle bar, because of that cool sounding horn. I use my plastic rescue whistle as well and a flicker bell alarm to warn people ahead, I am coming behind them. Then I announce verbally, “passing to your left” and carefully pass other hikers on the bike pathways.The color black blends into my seat and bike rack color and the looks of the alarm appears esthetically good for my bike. Overall, I am confident the alarm/ horn will endure a long time and will do its job to SCARE AWAY THE THIEF or at least slow down the bike thief. Even though the bike horn will be located under my bike seat, I am again confident pedestrians and other bikers will hear this horn. So good price and apparently good, effective bike alarm!!

Einfach, wirkungsvoll, leichte Montage
Schlösser sind für Diebe kein Hinderniss mehr. Lärm ist viel abschreckender. Das Beste ist eine Kombination dieses Alarmgebers mit einem guten Schloss. Jetzt mit deutscher Anleitung kann man auch die Lautstärke und Sensibilität einstellen. Bin sehr zufrieden seit 2 Jahren mit diesem Artikel.

Alarma funcional por un buen precio.
La alarma la instalé en un lugar poco visible de la moto con las bridas que lleva conjuntamente. Cuando está activada al mínimo movimiento de la moto o golpe se activa emitiendo un pitido. Si continúas moviéndola empieza a sonar con los distintos sonidos que emite la alarma. La recomiendo para las motos que duermen tanto en garaje como en la calle cerca de la vivienda del dueño para saber si te están robando la moto. Lo único que no me ha gustado es que las instrucciones no vienen en español. A pesar de ello la alarma es muy intuitiva y fácil de manejar.
